Yeah the worst was when some has tried twist history saying we were anti MPJ not because his back but his game. Hilarious.

The boy had 2 back surgeries at a very young age. Saying it isn't a huge red flag is simple dumb.

Alot of posters on her disliked MPJ for a number of reasons, not including his injury history

Let's not re-write history now. Nobody said his injuries weren't red flags. The posters, like myself, who wanted MPJ at #7 were fine with him red-shirting his rookie season to heal and recover. We weren't going anywhere at the time anyway.

You guys haven't said anything since he's been showing out in denver, now that he's suffered his first injury since it's 'I told u so'

Maybe more context here...

I will basically say the same thing I said on the GB, I hate to see a guy go at someone when their back is turned. That is super dangerous and you would like to see Jokic not do that.

That said...

It was a weak move for Morris to throw that deliberate elbow into Jokic and then immediately turn his back and act as if it was some common type of foul or contact.

You throw a shot like that at a guy, you owe it to them to face them afterwards, square up and not turn your back, because you should expect a response is coming.

You can argue Jokic should not have responded the way he did. I get it. Anyway... regardless of how talented each of these guys are, I know which one I would want on my team. I want the one not accepting the cheap shot without giving it straight back.

I was also on the MPJ at 7 bandwagon, him sitting out I was also fine with, we were rebuilding.

Sure this back injury could be serious, or it may be minor, any back injury regardless of history should be taken seriously.

I initially went 'what the'... but yeah the replay shows Morris' cheap shot. The acting afterwards... dear lord.

I fully support Jokic for standing up for himself... but he also should know better. A bit too far. Lucky it wasn't the playoffs...

Look I remember that most of us were "anti MPJ" because of his back. But maybe im wrong.

And we haven't said anything since he's benn showing out? guess because back in the day we were pointing at his back, and - surprise surprise - NOW his back has an issue again. I'm not glad about it, it is what it is: sorry we told you so... 8-)

The Warriors - why are they so much better so far this year?

Maybe I’m only superficially looking at their record? I get Steph is Steph, but Steph was huge last year too.

Continuity? With role players especially, so all getting more comfortable, and cohesive (eg - Lee, Toscano). Otto and Iggy joined the bench and showing they still have a pulse. Bjelica has been solid pickup looking at box scores only.

I know improvement of Poole is big, but is he really that good? A quick glance at advanced shows a lot of that might be volume.

Insight fellow Bulls fans, or other lurkers?

A few things I've noticed in the few games I've seen:

1. Not playing Wiseman is huge. He was killing every single lineup he was in last season. Will be interesting to see how they handle this situation once he returns.

2. Draymond looks like he cares again. He's still one of the best defenders and smartest players in the league. Perfect guy to have next to Curry.

3. Depth. Iguodala, Bjelica and OPJ have been good additions and it seems like Gary Payton II is currently proving he's more than a fringe NBA guy. JTA and Damion Lee can provide some good things as well.

4. Poole hasn't been as good as he looked in preseason so far, but he's still taken a significant step forward. They just didn't have anyone other than Curry who could create some offense last season. Poole gives them that this year.

If you watch Morris, the first thing that actually makes contact is his knee against the side of Jokic’s knee. He thrusts it at the last second. Could have easily been a season ended for Jokic. Morris is so **** dirty, nice to see him get plowed and it was deserved.

Yeah that’s crazy uncalled for with a half court shot omg. Morris deserved that. That was just a gut reaction on Jokic… you know when someone is coming at you like that you just respond.

Also now that we know what Wiggins is and not the next great thing, he has settled into a good player if not well overpaid, for them.

Jokic is not scared some idiots from Heat. Guy is from Balkan. You dont mess with guys from there. Specially not 7 footers. I dislike this fake toughness. Because when hammers are thrown you get what you deserve for.

So I will say dont mess with [future] Bull, you will get horns.

Not sure if its back related... But he has been awful to start the year. 10 points on 35% shooting in 30 MPG.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I didn’t want MPJ even before the back injury info came out. I thought he looked incredibly pedestrian by “best talent in the draft” standards. As I said at the time he was/is clearly a talented player, but he was being compared to true franchise players like Durant which was laughable both then and now.

I said he’s more of a Rashard Lewis type player and “star”. Which even healthy still looks accurate to me.

Then when we learned of the back issues I wanted nothing to do with him at all, and still don’t.

Nothing he has done has really changed my opinion of him. And what he has done, in my view, has just reinforced what I believed at the time. Potentially high level role playing scorer with major injury concerns.

I like the drama. I think the product needs a team to hate. Basketball was more fun when you could hate the Pistons or Knicks. It’s posturing for sure but it has its place. They also have to play the “role” for the camera. It’s part of sports selling an identity. Just good teams like the Spurs didn’t get people to tune in, even though they should have.
