People wanted to see the likes of Bill Laimbeer get put in check. Why? Because he was kind of the face of the Bad Boy Pistons, he was doing dirty crap all the time.

He should’ve said something like “it was intended to be a take foul but it ended up being harder than he thought. He had no intention of injury blah blah blah”

I think you do know what it means. It's a term used when you are losing an argument. I can't combat another's posters arguments with solid ones of my own, so I attempt to dismiss him or her by labeling and then dismissing them. It's trite.

If I am Jokic I do the exact same thing. This isn't just about Morris, every fool that thinks they can slip cheapshot elbows in on Jokic will take note. Who is going to want to mess with him? People like Morris take a risk with your career. Everyone is going to think twice about trying to punk Jokic now. 290 6'11 Jokic chucked 6'8 Morris like he was nothing. Morris has done crap like this many times, to some extent there is an issue with league not cracking down on players like him.

If you make dirty plays like Morris there should be an escalator over time of what the punishment is. To some extent I don't feel players are protected enough from true cheapshots like Morris. Like if we all knew Morris's action would lead to him getting a 10 game suspension (due to prior incidents) he'd probably have already stopped.

Jokics play is more dangerous since it involves the spine but i think that comparison downplays how dangerous Morris play was. Could have **** up Jokics rib or his knee where they made contact, Jokic could have easily torn something when he landed on one leg and the force of the hit was strong enough he definitely could have ended up on his back or hit his head

Cheap shots are neither cool nor okay, but they happen, and the league has a system in place to deal with them.

What is even less cool or okay is retaliatory shots like what Jokic did, because it's situations like that that can lead to full scale brawls, ie the Malice at the Palace.
