Gary Payton II is currently having the best-ever stat line of a bench player. In only 10 mpg, he has a PER above 30. The stats he is piling up are easy-level video game stats.

It was a good trade when it happened, looking better now. Vuc has gotten off to a slow start but he will get it together and produce this year. I'm happy for Vuc he is on a legit winning team, he deserves it.

I think it's a win-win, Vuc has subjugated his offense for the good of the team (which anyone could have predicted). When he's needed or the matchups dictate it, he'll go for 30 and 15. If CHI stays healthy, that '23 pick is really late. Even if Franz + WCJ - Aminu is >= Vucevic in a vacuum, it's contributed to CHI becoming significantly better.

Agree. As thanks for Vuc, we traded him to a championship contending team. He can finally aim for a ring instead of just a PO spot when he was with us.

How cool would it be in the ECF, Vuc vs Evan then who wins goes on to meet AG in the finals. lol

I love what Jokic did. Morris thought he could get a cheap shot in and got whiplashed. I aint Jokic responsibility to make sure Morris is ready before retalating. Good job Joker

Morris pulled a scumbag move. Blindsided Joker with a full speed elbow to the ribs. Maybe he didn't intend it, but i doubt it.

Joker sent him about 3 or 4 metres down the court. Thing of beauty. Morris isn't doing that again anytime soon. He should have been suspended. The league is basically endorsing cheap shots on bigs.

Morris twins are bullies. All crap one of them was doing on Suns was pathetic, it's about time somebody puts them in place.

"Inside the NBA", as usual, nailed it...all supported Jokic. He's a big, strong guy who plays with great intelligence & finesse. Shaq said something like "The earthlings get frustrated and have no other way to..." Barkley, in particular, felt that Morris should have been suspended, as the financial hit of his fine was nothing compared to a game check. Jokic showed he's able and willing to defend himself and he also handled himself extremely well after...no apology to Morris, no concern for his well-being, no backing down, no acknowledgment of the silly MIA "catch me outside" WWE crap, no promise to never do it again, just acknowledging that he shouldn't have reacted like that. Perfect

I believe it's the other Morris brother that was continuing to cheap shot Doncic a couple of years ago in the playoffs.

I don't think it's great that Jokic retaliated and would have preferred him to have found it in him to literally laugh it off in Morris face. That said, I understand it 100%, Morris deserved it after a history of being dirty and giving cheap shots.

And the whole Miami tough guy thing after the game was hilarious, I couldn't actually believe what I was reading/seeing; "where I'm from you don't X" "meet me outside later" is the dumbest most un-scary eye roll worthy chat ever.

It also feels like that it shifted the entire narrative away from the hipster/popular "championship contender" losing by almost 20 against a Denver team that havn't yet figured it out this year. *shrug*

I also feel like Jokic handled the incident quite gracefully post-game.

nope. at some point you have to punch the bully in the nose. It wasnt a playoff game so i have zero problem with it. And this will bring more spotlight on the NBA to do more to stop the Morris brothers from continued cheap shots, especially when someone like Jokic finally snaps. We keep talking about the Morris twins "history of cheap shots". well, until more things like this happen, that "history" will just continue.

That just doesn't work. It just makes yourself feel better and hey, if it does then cool you do you but Morris won't stop until the NBA suspend him properly or take significant money away. People like that don't give a damn about perception.

The unfortunate thing is that the action taken against Morris would've been insignificant, so I can appreciate why Jokic did what he did, even though he shouldn't have.

When the league starts handing out 10-game suspensions for blatantly dirty plays, players won't have to protect themselves anymore. As it is, I understand Jokic's actions. He wants every other player in the NBA to think twice before they decide to cheap shot him.
