The team defense has really taken a positive step forward in past few games.

Edit of course as I say this it turns to ****

imo it was poop from the start. Heat were jittery rushing shots or overplaying their advantage. Even after they started carving the Lakers D you could still see the uncertainty. On the possessions they've executed it hasn't even been close how well their shot creation completely dismantled the Lakers defense. They hit 9 straight shots to end the quarter and it honestly still looks like they haven't hit their stride.

Lakers are ridiculously hard to stop on offense though.

edit aaand Westbrook throws the ball to AD's defender again. This guy played so well in the first half but once again turns to an idiot against adjustments,

If they stop turning it over every other possession they can have a great offense. Too bad that'll never happen with Westbrook running the show.

The offense is better without a PG than it is with Westbrook playing

That was a pretty nice offensive lineup around AD before Russ came back in, Monk, Ellington, Bazemore, Melo and AD. LeBron in that lineup instead of Bazemore and that seems pretty unguardable

Dwight commits the most obvious fouls and then looks perplexed.

With James and even Westbrook in there instead of Ellington produced some great offense. Not sure they could defend well enough though Monk has been better defensively than in the past. Now just imagine having Caruso in there… :banghead:

27-12 deficit in free-throws makes it tough to win any game. Westbrook outside of the turnovers has been better. If he can cut down on these and stop bricking 18 footers, Lakers could have something. Coming into tonight, the Lakers led the league in highest % of shots taken from 16ft—3P.

Putback dunk from P.J. Tucker huh? That might as well happen I guess.

Westbrook is actually closing this thing out. Doing it perfectly too.

Russ completely blew up that play just to take an awful shot lmao.

AD needs to touch the ball there, no excuses.

Take foul on the catch. Don't let them get a 3 up.
