I find pleasure in conversing with a fool just to peer into what they actually think which isn’t much in your case. Those think they they are smarter than everyone else has nothing to say. Which for you Warrior GM is that. Have a good life

For the Warriors to be a contender, Klay would have come back and be at least 80% as good as he was pre injury.

So which average team Steph made into a contender?

That’s right none he’s never done that.

2015’s squad destroys this one that was not average at all. Exp and deep for days.

Take off the lipstick and let the man breath lol.

In 2020, the Warriors finished 15-50 without Curry.

In 2021, the Warriors finished 39-33 with Curry with virtually the same squad.

So Curry made arguably the worst roster in the league a good team last year. Obviously if he had an average roster he would elevate them into a contender.

Worst offensive roster historically 100% buy that.

I’ve only seen LBJ as the only player in the comp to get to the Finals with what would be an average roster more than once. Can’t see that for Curry. No slight on him and pound for pound one of the best ever, but his size, athleticism, playmaking and defensive capabilities aren’t in the same convo as Lebron.

Also GSW were ranked defensively something that Curry doesn’t contribute to.

Anyway it’s still wait and see on Klay before GSW are in the convo until then from my poi it’s a solid no.

Bumping this thread. Warriors have the best record in the league and have been absolutely smacking teams. They're first in defense so far and are getting just about anything they want on offense - and all this without Klay. Heavy 73-9 season vibes so far.

At this rate it's just a matter of time before the detractors start whining it's so unfair that Curry is playing with Gary Payton II who makes the Warriors a stacked team.

Even one eyed blind Warriors fans would tell you they’ve had the easiest schedule so far.

Green should be DPOY (should have been last year too imo).

I'm in the camp that whenever the Warriors are healthy they're contenders. The play the right way, and are just a beauty to watch. They preach off ball movement, defense is smothering and elite 3pt shooting.

Tough take right now. The Warriors are forever the underdog, even after being the greatest team in NBA history. Don't sleep on a team with a still prime Curry when he has help.

Warriors probable starting C and SG are still injured.

A third of the team is new so may develop better chemistry.

Curry is shooting below his career averages but usually starts slow.

Most of the other expected contenders did not make major additions except Lakers and Nets.

Defense for both with the age of the rosters should be in question.

Yep that's so unfair. It's when everybody were saying Klay & Green were bums but they win the chip then all of sudden Curry had too much help. Gotta love it. Can't make this stuff up.

Now Curry has Klay, Dray, Wiggins, GPII, Poole, etc, etc. Too much talent. Hand hat man the chip NOW!

Remember when everybody said Wiggins suck and nobody wanted him. Wiggins is a classic example of what happens when you play with a superstar who is empowering and not demeaning. But I will let haters carry on as they are clueless.

We always gave Tim Duncan so much credit just for the way he carried himself as a "superstar". Always putting the team before himself. It's time we give Curry that same respect.

10-15 games after Klay returns will be a better time to ask.

It all depends on if Klay comes back 100%. If so, they will be for sure.

So you think the Warriors are going to get alot worse with Klay on the floor? If they are contenders now which they are having win 10 of their last 15 last year, going 5-0 in the preseason and 10-1 to start the season. And they aren't just winning they are blowing teams out. Yes they haven't had the toughest schedule but we've seen teams with the same schedule do a lot, lot worse. More to the point the Warriors have championship DNA to rely on something most teams don't have. If the Warriors are like 40-5 are we still going to be asking if they are contenders?

I doubt any team in the league will finish within 5 games of the Warriors 60+ wins this year.

It's really crazy how so many players remade or revitalized their careers playing for the Warriors. Obviously says a lot about Curry but also their system.

They've played well against very lackluster competition. Better than I thought, that's for sure, but let's see how they fare against the better teams in the league.
