I was thrilled when we got him as he is a slightly better player in just about every way. Most certainly a better shooter. DDV is probably a better defender, certainly a bit more in-your-face aggressive D.

And the good news is we have both. Allen was really kind of Forbes replacement. And he is vastly better than Forbes.

Down 3 starters and able to pull out the win. We so badly need Middleton back.

This. Donte's defensive anticipation is elite, and his 3 pt shooting took a nice jump last year. He's definitely a better shooter than PatC was at this stage of their careers.

Agree. Donte has made a big jump in his 3 point shooting each year. Easy to believe this will continue.

Ehhhhh not if you take out the games where he shot well

BTW, Allen is clearly and demonstrably a better shooter than Donte (I don't think anybody should be surprised if he shoots mid 40s this year on high volume), but while he is a well-rounded player, Donte is better at everything else.

Fortunately we do not have to choose between them, and the idea that we should is pretty nuts! They're both younger than Giannis (Donte a year younger than Grayson) and we should keep them both. If we can move one of them at some point to improve our outlook further, then so be it.

Patty C has gone from a fringe NBA player who could occasionally hit a couple of threes and make a dunk at the end of the game to a damn good rotation player. Would not have expected that, but love it.

Would be better if Semi played bigger than he is but he plays like a 2/3 to me and not a 4/5.

Semi is really a 1/2.

Winning is more fun than losing.
*Shooting really well sure helps.
*Semi going 5/6 from 3 over last two games versus 0-12 during his earlier games helps, too.

For role players whose only role on offense is to shoot 3's but they don't make many, it's tough. But when they're going in, different story.

Nwora for example, is 30.8% from 3 and 39% overall. When your primary role on offense is shooting, but you don't shoot well, it's not great.

Good gritty road win. Knicks are tough and Rose is a warrior.

Patty C and Grayson showing they belong on a championship caliber team.

Haven’t posted much this season because of the slow start, but I’m not worried yet. I’m waiting until Brook is back to see what we have. Brook is so much more important than people gave him credit for. He’s our anchor and rock inside. He can’t come back soon enough. Any info on when he might come back?

And when can Middleton come back from quarantine?

Lot of people eating crow (their own words) with how Grayson is playing now. If I was feeling less than charitable, I might-could pull receipts (their own words).

Meh I think Allen is the much better offensive player. Not sure what Donte does on offense that is better than Allen. Donte obviously is better defensively as well

Donte is a better passer probably. But even there Grayson has been way better than advertised.

Perhaps you should listen to the most powerful man in the world on the subject of DDV before you subject him to invidious comparison.

Joseph Robinette Biden wrote:You know, we — we also got someone who earned the award that — that’s just as important in my book. Donte, I’m honored to — to be with him tonight — today, because, in 2015, he was the Delaware high school boys basketball Player of the Year. (Applause.)

Donte grew up in Newark, Delaware, attended a high school — I still like him anyway. There’s two competing high schools — Catholic high schools in Delaware: Archmere and Salesianum. Salesianum had five times as many boys, but — and they beat us all the time. But — (laughter) — I still — I still was the second-highest scorer at football. But at any rate — you know, I don’t know, man. Donte, I still like you in spite of that fact.

And so — and he won two state championships there. So, he’s used to this championship stuff. But then he starred at Villanova. And the Bidens are sporting family, particularly my wife Jill, who’s, as she calls herself, “a Philly girl.” She takes it up a notch. She knows a lot about the sport, and she never forgives anybody if they lose. But, you know, we went to the University of Delaware, Jill and I, years apart. And then she went on to Villanova grad school and I went to Syracuse Law School.

In 2016, we went to the Final Four to watch our teams play. And I watched — I watched Donte win his first of his two national titles at ‘Nova. Donte, we’re also proud of you back home, but I still like Syracuse. (Laughter.)

The sign of someone who is working to improve as an NBA player instead of just staying in the league. Hopefully he keeps hitting shots.

I am selling all Nwora stock. I will never own another share. That 1 min at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th was the worst play I have ever seen on an NBA floor. Completely oblivious. Lazy. Totally reminiscent of that kid in HS that comes in and shoots at the wrong hoop.

He is a borderline NBA player. Every other player in his position plays every second like it's their last and he half heartedly goes through the motions. He has some skills but nowhere near sufficient to play with such a gross lack of energy and will.

I'm also not as excited about Semi as some of you. I missed parts of the first half so maybe he wasn't terrible then. Because he was in the second. Too slow to stay with fast backcourt players and too short to defend bigs. Big but doesn't play with the physicality of PJ.

Excited about having a wing rotation of Khash, Patty, Grayson, and Donte (spot min for Hill) and being done with this Nwora, Semi, Robinson, Hood nonsense.

Having a few lazy, bad plays in a +25p blowout is not the end of the world. The whole end of the bench relaxed for a few minutes and Rose and the othesr started making every possible contested shot for a while.

Nwora responded quite well so far in pressured situations on both sides of the court. Good blocks on big guys, clutch difficult buckets etc. We don't need him to playmake on a healthy team anyway yet.

Donte is great at moving without the ball. When the offense goes stagnant, this is not a small thing.

If Elizabeth Homes (sp?) could combine those two into one sentient being and do so with an affordable cap number to boot - aaaaayyyyyyeee. Donson Allvacenzo would be an all-star.

Grate DiVensen says hi. Grate isn’t even his middle name, it’s his first name. He’d be Grate, so Grate for us.

My spellcheck takes it one step further. She says, and I quote: “No Replacements Found” for DiVensen.

Irreplaceable - apparently even by that other hybrid guy.
