Looking forward to following Ousmane Dieng in the Australian League.
6'9" 185 pound 18 year old that can dribble-shoot-pass-defend.
Early Paul George hype.

Re: 2021-2022 College Basketball / NBA Draft
I think Euroleague and NBL both particular will churn out prospects every year as a very stable factory of developing prospects the right way. Very excited for the future.
Domestically the talent is mostly in the US but the development systems is lagging behind. Should take up the Majors model quicksmart or the European style approach.
Kids don’t learn much if they aren’t put into more appropriate talent level environments. They’ll be fine physically anyway. Zion should have been a NBA player straight after high school in laments terms.
College to NBA is a massive gap.

Keeping a watch on Jaden Ivey this year. Not for us but he’s like if Maxey and Morant somehow got combined together lol.
Don’t know how good he’ll be this year but he’s quite something.

Yea, he’s going to be a problem. Looks bigger than his 6’3 listing.

Love players that dictate tempo. He's very Shai like in that regard.

His defensive anticipation and the way he was playing the passing lanes... He's so so good

His %ast buckets are probably going to be higher than they should be since Wheeler is going to run the offense constantly, but I don't feel uneasy with him having the ball in his hands like I did with literally everyone on UK last year.
He's going to be a top 15 pick if that shot is legit. He has the scorers mentality.

A lot has been made about Emoni Bates' crappy measurables, but the dude can ball. He appears to have a flamethrower.

You know what's going to be frustrating for Coach Cal and Kentucky fans? Seeing and hearing reports of Shaedon Sharpe dominating in practice and knowing he can't help the team this year.

Re: 2021-2022 College Basketball / NBA Draft
This year I’ll try and do a top 15 prospects that are very draft-able to me and update it over the course. I think the median average for each draft over the 20 years is something like 15-20 give or take prospect that are actual productive NBA players, so the drop off is noticeable.
What is also noticeable is there are distinct ranges. Busts inside the top ten, value in the 10-20 and a surprise few really good players at 30 or high picked. So yes if your smart enough you’ll get value at any pick outside of 1.
Not surprised about Banch or Chet, clear top 2 for me will get a better idea come Saturday when Chet vs’s legit comp but his size and skillset is too hard to ignore (suspect he’s more skillful than Banch too).
Already have a list that I like. But for now:
(No particular order)
Holmgren
Banchero
Griffin Jr
Smith Jr
Baldwin Jr
Duren
Watson
Keels
Juzang
Houstan
Prkacin
Champagnie
Murray
Mayer
Agbaji
This is definitely a high quality Wing/PF draft. The guards are lukewarm but someone will always pop up and some will fall.

Is torching Maryland tonight and just threw down a nasty windmill.

Re: 2021-2022 College Basketball / NBA Draft
General thoughts from last night:
- Johnny Juzang is going to be a baller at the next level. He's not well-rounded, but he can be a factor offensively.
- Jaden Ivey looks the part of the next star G, as expected.
- Ochai Agbaji is going to be a bomber, but his lack of playmaking and defense combined with his age hurts his appeal IMO.
- Trevor Keels is a physical beast, but he can't just be another Stanley Johnson/Justice Winslow, he needs to show more skill.
- The game comes so easy for Paolo Banchero, but how does a 6'10" 250 pounder not have a block yet? Also, only 1 assist. Want to seem more complete game from him as the season goes on.
- I don't see much in TyTy Washington right now. I still really like Kellan Grady as a 2nd rounder, though.
- Still think Jaden Shackelford should have came out and been a first rounder in last year's draft. I really like his game.
- E.J. Liddell is definitely an NBA player. Not sure where he goes, but if his jumpshot is real, he should be mid-1st.
- Caleb Love had a bad freshman season, but he always had the talent and now he's starting to put it together in year 2.
- K.D. Johnson is one of the most undervalued prospects around. Physical beast, defensive stud, sneaky good shooter. If he develops his passing, he's basically Kyle Lowry 2.0.
