Unless he comes back like gangbusters and has a playoff run for the ages, I doubt he gets any offers he's interested in this summer

I can see Bucks either trading him or getting him back on his qualifying offer, ($6.6M)

He’s on the team, doesn’t really play.

Yeah, it's weird that he's never really earned enough trust to play in Denver. But he's extremely gifted and theoretically should be able to protect the rim and stretch the floor. I had him as a top 3 pick the year he came out. I'm sure there are good reasons why he slipped to 44 and hasn't played. Could maybe make up for letting Wood go, though.

I hadn't looked up Grayson's stats so far, from the eye test he seemed to be warming up but I had no idea he was launching 10 3s a game and shooting >40%. That's awesome. :D

Seriously, how did Horst pull an obviously ascending 25-year-old who was already a solid NBA starter for so little? Memphis was clearing salary in preparation for a big Morant extension and our FO was the only one who noticed?!

Been trying to look at some but low candidates around the league. My favorite is Aaron Nesmith. I think he is possibly the worst fit in the league in Boston, a team full of wings and no traditional guard play. He’s been pretty terrible this season in the limited time he has even been able to play (although he did well in that big Miami win).

If Donte is shipped for another player/pick I’d love to flip a second and Hood/Semi for Nesmith. That dead ball play in Boston is absolutely killing him.

I did per36 just to normalize the comparison a bit, but he's getting them up there. He's currently 3rd in the league in made threes per game behind only Curry and Hield, and is 11th in 3PA.

Since renewing him will be very difficult after the Allen extension, what is the best we can get for Donte this season? Maybe get a backup center?

Wanted to try a Bagley - DiVincenzo trade but I couldn't seem to make it work.

Also got the extension in before the season.

How about we just keep Donte and have 48 minutes of high quality guard play at both positions as well as having an awesome 3 guard lineup as needed? Dude will be cheap too coming off the injury.

Hollinger thinks Donte’s getting a huge deal but maybe that’s just looney tunes.

If his injuries (understandably) tank his value to an extent where he’d consider the QO that could be the best case scenario for the Bucks. Not sure if we could pull a Brogdon kind of return in a sign and trade but that would be good too.

Otherwise with Pat’s emergence I think he’s next in line for a significant extension (then hopefully Bobby in the offseason once we can).

The Grayson extension makes him the one the Bucks can trade in the offseason, as they resign Patty C, and get Donte back for another year.

It helped that Memphis was loaded at the position. It also helped that Memphis liked Merrill from his time with their G League team.

Memphis should have been trying to pull off a consolidation trade to bring in another star. They're really deep but lack start power.

Pat will be almost 30 next summer. I don't think a significant extension is worthwhile. He has a player option for next year for 6 million. If he thinks he can get much more, good luck to him.

If it's up to 8-9 million, sure. I don't think he'll sign for that though.

You wouldnt be upset if they traded allen instead of donte. This is the 1st time in i dont know how long the bucks have had a actual shooting guard who can actually shoot especially 3s,signed a very friendly 2 year extension and hes the one that goes.
That would absolutely shock me he is perfect on this team perfect as the SG .If they get a bug up their ass to trade it has to be DDV. I dont think the bucks want DDV as a starter thats why the bogdan fail trade n now allen
