The only way to pick Kobe is to assume you'll have him much longer.

Even then Kobe's loyalty is extremely tenuous. Nearly left the Lakers in '04, then demanded to be traded 3 years later. And keep in mind he did this after spending his entire career up till that point on the leagues marquee franchise AND after winning multiple championships. Does anybody really believe Kobe's staying for long on a small market team, or with one that doesn't have a championship caliber roster? I'd bet good money he'd dip as quickly as Shaq, LeBron or KD.

Shaq because he would immediately force the entire league to adapt to him.

Yeah plus you have to factor in Kobe's ego is just as big as Shaq's I'd argue. He drove Shaq out of LA, that negative has to count for something.
