Well. Huh. I went from being somewhat furious at our ST, to thinking, well at least this coach gets it and seems sincere about getting it fixed. Also like the comment about trying to boost Rodgers back up by getting him back out there.

I will also add, why can't Randall Cobb be the primary holder? Why does it need to be the punter?

He seems like a good dude, so I’m pulling for him

One reason the punter does it is so they can work the entire practice together, kicker, holder, long snapper. Cobb, or anyone else, has to participate on game planning and other aspects of practice.

One thing that bothers me is when Crosby had his first kick blocked a few games ago MLF said that was because the Packers always used the same snap count and opponents eventually figured it out. I would think a special teams coach would know not to use the same damn snap count on every FG and XP. But apparently he didn't. Or didn't think the other team would ever figure it out.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Or the snapper, holder, or Crosby himself has a "tell" that the balls about to be snapped, and the opposing rushers key off of that.

I think the kicking stuff will get cleaned up. Seems fixable, to me.

No idea what to make of the Seahawks. I guess you could say that about them for the past couple years.

“I would say we got some of it cleaned up,” coach Matt LaFleur said, “but certainly there’s some more to clean up. I thought we did a better job this last week of using a different snap count, which I thought definitely helped us alleviate that jump that the field-goal block team was getting. But there’s some other things that we’ve got to tweak, and we’ll look at those this week.”

Hard for me to believe he'll play if he isn't doing this yet.

It would be nice to give him a series or two to get his feet wet but then you have to inactivate someone else.

He seems to be developing into Marcedes Lewis v2.0 as a blocker.

So glad Gary is taking football seriously. His biggest issue in college and even his rookie year was rumored to be not taking football seriously, or practicing. Now he seems to be going the Kobe/Giannis route.

I hope they're joking because as cool of a play as that was, Hunt could've easily suffered a major knee, neck, or head injury on that play.

Yeah I have no idea where that even came from too. His high school coach and position college coach gushed about his work ethic and how he'll do whatever the coaches ask of him. Maybe it was draft heads overemphasizing a couple bad plays or something. Him pursuing plays down field was the one big thing that stood out during his first season here. Even each off-season he had tape of putting in work.

I want to see more of Deguara out there. I still think he could be pretty good.

Return to Green Bay Packers
