Okay, Payne. That's three trips where you've either turned it over or been rejected. Either you start recognizing the trap being set for you and pass or shoot from outside.

Monty needs to start calling timeouts while we have big leads. This team gets way too comfortable and continues to have bad possessions. Stop the bleeding before it starts.

I despise early 20+ game leads as 75% of time they seem to get erased. We can't lose focus at start of 3rd quarter, otherwise it'll be a repeat of last game.

I don't get how we keep doing that. CP3 and Crowder should be the calming forces keeping the young guys in check. Maybe another vet? I wonder if we can pluck Marcus Smart from Boston for Landry (or Stix) and Saric. If you keep his terrible shooting in check, I think that's a guy you win championships with. Bring him off the bench with the Cams.

Just before I was about to write bad close out to the quarter from 23 point lead down to 17, Booker hits a tough defended two to put us on top by 19 going into halftime. Overall, great first half every single player played well besides Shamet and Mcgee in foul trouble. Let's come out next half and not blow the lead.

They can calm their nerves all they want but if our shots arent falling there's nothing Crowder & CP3 can do. Our defense has gotten better recently so if Memphis chip away into our lead it'll take them much longer and hopefully by that time we can build on our lead.

As for Marcus Smart even though he shoots bellow 43% every season he might actually help us. He seems very unhappy in Boston with Tatum & Brown shooting majority of their shots. He might shine in Phoenix where everyone shares the ball minus Nader. :)

I get the shots not falling, but this happens too much. I think they get too complacent and "cocky". Another tough vet would do a lot of good imo. Boston is neck and with a MIL team that is missing all of their starters minus Jrue right now and Smart is keeping them in it almost single handily.

If this drama with the Jays keeps up....well Boston isn't gonna give up on them. I think we could steal Smart-who'd fit right in here with Cp3 and Crowder. Another strong voice in the locker room. I think he's played in more Big Games than even Chris tbh. I'd do any 2 of Landry/Saric/Stix. I'd imagine Boston wouldn't want Saric tho unless he can return by the playoffs.

How does Morant do that? He makes Iverson look average.

11/22 50% shooting on threes. We haven't been this hot from beyond the arc since SSOL days.

Just for the long term, I feel like Memphis needs a big like DA in the middle. Adams is good and a bruiser but if they can get a big who can stretch the floor more, they will be so hard to defend.
Any reason they dealt Jonas?

Reminds me of Tyler Herro throwing alley oop to a 40+ year old Haslem. Gotta know your personal young fella.

I don't see too much to complain about in this one.

That was a bad sequence for Booker. Three or four bad plays in a row.

Didn't realize this one started so early. Got home a few hours ago and figured I'd do some work until 8 (CT) but went a little over and then noticed it's midway through the 3rd.

Just looking at the box it appears we are just smoking hot from 3 an they are ice cold. 14-27 vs 3-19

11 more 3s.....33 more points...otherwise it's a game if we are equal on 3s.

So this is a rarity for us...not to be expected too often. Looks like Bridges, Nader perfect from 3 and then Crowder and then Cams all hot from 3.
