Please Memphis make a few shots to help Monty learn that no lead is safe with us and he needs to make adjustments

I don't see too much to complain about in this one.

That was at the end of the first half when we started playing really loose with a big lead. Went from I think 24 to 17.

It's nice we are on a long winning streak while Booker is not playing well and Ayton has been out. Not great teams, but you play who's in front of you and traditionally we relax (or just play bad) against some bad teams.

Memphis is good. They'll make the playoffs this year.

I see it was down to 17 with about 10 left in the third and then the rest of the quarter we got it into the 30s for awhile, so despite a mini run at the end by Memphis, still won it by 9.

I don't know if it's always adjustments when teams cut into leads in games like this. Memphis is/was shooting SO poorly from 3 (16%) that it's bound to improve and we are bound to cool off some.

Not trying to say Monty is good at adjustments..but sometimes it's just teams get hot and cold for a bit.

Yeah, that's what I have been saying...I think people are sleeping on them...they are just cold shooting and we are hot shooting, but overall our schedule hasn't been strong. Probably one of the weaker ones.

Shamet is kinda disappointing. He's a guy that I've kinda liked for a few years as a player but seeing him on the Suns for a couple games now I guess he's living off his reputation from his rookie year with the Clips.

Yeah not sure where all this "Memphis is bad" talk is coming from. I've followed them closely this year and they're a really fun team to watch, and pretty decent at winning too. They don't have any bad players who see the floor for big minutes. I was thrilled to see us up by 30+ against them.

I like him ok, but I like him a lot less the minute we decided to pay him almost $11 million a year for 4 years. Not sure what they were thinking. They couldn't have been bidding against anyone else at that amount.

I wouldn't mind seeing that Wainwright dude hit the floor. We signed him and from what I saw in clips, he looks pretty decent. He's got to be better than Smith and he already got some run.

Will Williams give the guy some time or just keep playing starters when the game is clearly over and risk an injury?

Well Houston up next, I hope DA is back since I'd like to see him vs Sengun and Wood. I feel like they might give 1 more game to rest up though.

Strange looking at our schedule...but we have our first b2b Sun/Mon against Houston and Minnesota....

and also according to this we play Dallas twice in a row at home (which they never did until last year but thought they would only do without fans as fans won't want to see the same team twice in a row probably) but what is even stranger is that it lists them both being on ESPN.

Why would ESPN want Dallas/Phx in two consecutive nationally televised games? https://www.espn.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/phx

Yeah that was kinda yikes. I was actually not too against it because again I've been kind of a Shamet fan but that was my bias coming through. Just gotta hope he gets back to something around his peak Clippers year which was like 10 ppg on 45% 3p%. Obviously 45% from 3 is probably not in the cards, but with Monty hyping his role you'd think 10 ppg around his career average of 40% 3p% would be a reasonable expectation.

Smith just stealing garbage time from people who could actually use it. They should just cut that dead weight and free up a roster spot. Good lord.

Two attempts for Luka to beat Ayton for once, which will end up as two disappointments

I have been waiting for something to happen to make me like Nader. He looked good tonight. Hopefully we see this again.

A nice win streak considering we are nothing close to what we will be once we actually get rolling.
