Not a lot of consistent players out there. Even AD is way too up-and-down for a player at his level. He's completely floated through this entire quarter while the Lakers badly needed someone to take charge.

Worst quarter of basketball I've ever watched period. This is awful.

Who is coming back that is consistent besides Lebron?

Maybe Ariza? Not on offense, but a consistently decent defender with decent IQ I believe

Defintetly not Nunn and THT

Not sure yet on Reaves, seems like a guy who gives consistent defender and high iq. He does need to work a bit more in terms of quickness for his D and start to hit a bit more of those open 3s

Ariza's last full season was split between a terrible Kings stint and a good 21 games with the Blazers.

This is what happens when you hitch your wagon to someone like Westbrook and then have to fill out the entire roster with minimums.

I will skip over his time with Sac as its hard to really judge a player on a trash team with a losing culture

Need to trade Russ, just not a good fit

He is maybe even a worse fit once Bron and THT are back since they need the ball too

I really can't believe Lebron and AD stepped in and **** up the Hield deal

Should have been Hield, Pope, AC and our rookie instead of Russ

Could have even moved Pope and our 1st for an upgrade if needed

Its gonna take a act of Congress to get AD at the 5 fulltime after this performance.

Warriors, Suns, Jazz, Nuggets, Mavs are autolocks. Might get 6th but its gonna be tough with Portland, Memphis, Lac there

Definitely hard to win, when you have 3 players taller than 6'5 and two of them Howard and Melo

Vogel is no offensive mastermind but the roster is so badly put together they have to stay hot to not get blown out. When your GM says he's relying on schemes to salvage a disastrous defensive roster you start to wonder if they understand the technical aspects.

It's the quality of personnel who justify the schemes not the other way round. Bad personnel= poor execution. Summer might have been the first time we heard the opposite and it was disappointing to hear that take from a front office that normally knows better. Well at least I thought they did.

Last two games Rondo has played:

Vs. Charlotte
Rondo +20, Westbrook -20

Vs. Minnesota
Rondo +17, Westbrook -32

It’s reaching comical levels now.

I'm just hoping to get to the 20 game point when LeGM decides he has had enough sample size to give Westbrook the side eye to Minnesota or some other forgotten place. Dude is **** horrible.

All this talk about trading Westbrook. Setting aside all the political ramifications, who is giving you back anything of value for him at this point? Especially with no good picks or young prospects to package with him.

Just getting rid of him is value in and of itself. Lol. I’d cut him and roll with Bron/AD and shooters. We have rondo to be the backup point guard.

I have them as being in an okay spot if LeBron can come back kinda soon. They've had more problems with their 'big 3' than with any of the role guys, LeBron's missed half the season so far, and Russ/AD have been horrid (Russ more so, though maybe more equally so relative to expectations).

It's an all star cast of career losers and it really shows on night like last. Having to outpace the negative traits of all these guys every quarter is brutal. One off shooting stretch and the game swings disproportionately.

Doesn't need restating that Lebron and AD should have done better than Westbrook but I felt the GM should also have done better than undersized guards and a roster full of one way players. As bad as Westbrook is it's the latter that really hurts them. A team with AD and Lebron only really needs two solid two way, well spaced lineups to win any game. I'm talking minimum contract types. There should be at least one Lebron/AD lineup that can beast when Westbrook comes off and in closing stretches.
