I've to agree with you. Jokic is probably the most underrated player in the league. Last season NBA media was absolutely a disgrace how they handled his MVP. Like the clown Nick Wright. I would go as far as say Jokic is probably at worst the 3rd best player in the league. I've hard time to decide if Giannis or him is 2nd. I tend to go with Giannis due to superb finals. But I still take Durant clearly as the best player. Curry is not in the conversation.

Jokic has both overachieved and elevated his play every year he's made the playoffs. This man's starting guards in the playoffs last year were Austin Rivers and Facundo Campazzo. He took out a team with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. What more do you want from him?

That's the casual view.

The correct view is that Denver without Jokic is equal to the Rockets or Pistons. Give him an All star or 2 instead and he will zero problems winning in the postseason.

He is the best player in the league. As crazy as his scoring is, his defense deserves mention too. Nets have a top 4 ranked defense this year so far, and KD has been a big part of that.

Jokic was ok in the Suns series. Nothing close to what would make me think he was at the level that we have seen from LeBron/Giannis/KD/Steph/Kawhi.

Jokic is not even close to the best player in the league. In fact hes not even in the top 5.

You just want to pretend like its him because I'm a Nets fan so therefore my opinion is invalid :lol:

In order for someone to become the "best player in the league" they have to prove they can do it at the highest level.

I would easily take KD, Giannis, LeBron, Steph, Kawhi over Jokic. Guys who have proven they can elevate a team to a Championship level in the playoffs.

Not having a nice regular season or two.

I guess NBA players and GMs are ignoring the reality too because the consensus opinion among them right now is that KD is the best in the league. I'm not a fan of my fellow Nets fan here (Hello Brooklyn) by any means and I respect & rate Jokic a lot. But KD is a hyper efficient high volume scoring machine who is also a very good defender. There are less weaknesses to exploit in KD's game than Jokic's.
