100% best game of his career, including a great job creating shots for teammates and making big time 4th quarter 3s. He's taken huge strides forward even from the beginning of this preseason. He honestly was so bad when he first stepped on the court as a rookie it's pretty incredible where he is now in comparison. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Glad to see some changes tonight with the small ball lineups and Grant getting some time at the five. Really though Pistons - outside a few moments of pure chucking - had some great ball movement offensively.

They needed to win a game with their offense. Plus, Hayes with a near triple double in control and Cade taking over in the money time and resurgent Beef Stew...

I think some of them may even quit watching Pistons basketball if Killian keeps improving.

I said I saw nothing in his actual physical body, motions, form that would prevent him from being a good player.

Gee whiz, he still hasn't even played FORTY GAMES IN NBA after being in the French league, I call it the Gentlemen's league. .

His attitude was terrible, but since he started hitting those corner 3's a few games ago, he is a completely different player. He is not gambling as much as he was on defense anymore for example, this game he played some great defense and was confident on offense. He's been a different player and I am happy for him. Looks like his main problem is confidence and mental.

Lol, I was about to say that if Drum would agree only to do putbacks, lob dunks, and do no jump shooting we could certainly use his rebounding. But that would never happen.

You talk a lot with Hayes personally and have some insight on his attitude? Hmm...whodathunk it.

Of course his problems were mental. It's not like he had a crappy shooting stroke or had never been able to score. Which is why you don't bury him on the bench, send him down to the G-league or ship him out of town after 30 games. Anyone with half a brain would say to be patient with him, and WE DID SAY IT. And hey, look at that--it might have just worked. Go figure.

Exactly my point. If you could get the guy for pennies and say "For the rest of your playing days here while we've got this young core that can score, THIS IS ALL YOU DO, PERIOD" and he did it, sure. But he won't.

0-5 without Cade, 3-4 with Cade. Wins against Orlando (Suggs), Houston (Green) and Toronto (Barnes).

Could you imagine adding Marvin Bagley III and Saben Lee?

J. Grant/K. Olynyk

Don’t forget, Killian is my guy. A bunch of you can eat up. It makes a world of difference having a confident, competent point guard.

He’s still gonna have some awful games to come. Just remember what you saw tonight and remain patient.

Same with Cade, but most of you know that already.

Man does this win feel good. I guess we have to acknowledge that the guys may have had Casey in mind some laying the way they did, but I would rather they had of just got together themselves and decided to come together and it had nothing to do with Casey being back in Toronto.

Maybe Weaver had a talk with them. But tonight was another glimpse at what could soon be an amazing back ourts duo.

Cade is so clutch. Finding your closer is a pretty big deal and am glad the Pistons have finally found him.

Because he's the better PnR player and would play best with Killian, Cade and Grant. Stewart would be great energy off the bench.

Stewart is the only semblance of rim protection on this team and Bagley ain't it. If Olynyk isn't starting over Stewart, Bagley wouldn't be either.

Some players just have that "clutch gene" and Cade has it. He was frustrated by Barnes all game (and man is Barnes good), was hampered by the ankle a bit but in crunch time, his 3 fell, he blew by OG twice (who is an elite defender), blew by Barnes and was intentionally fouled and played his usual solid defense. Would like to see him be more engaged earlier in the game and I hate when runs to the corner and just camps out there but he knows how to turn it up in the clutch.

Killian looks like he's finally starting to get "it". He's been much more confident the last several games. Now stay healthy Killian.

Its interesting Cade basically got the Killian Hayes treatment today. Casey gotta let these guys play free on offense.

Really need a center man it'd help so much Stewart is a fan fav but he's just a good backup.

Corey Joseph needs to be waving towels on the bench permanently.

Man Bey has been a little disappointing so far if he's shot not falling he disappears.

Cade gotta start hitting those 3s as a guy thats not Uber athletic he's gotta be elite at hitting 3.

Killian Hayes finally had a good game and actually kinda looked like a real pg still imo was too hesitant with his scoring but was way better than usual.

Killian played in Germany before getting drafted, not in France

Oh FFS. I had company all day and night, so I miss the one game where everything corrects itself, AND Hayes has his breakout game?

Damn.

Welp, I've got an amazing replay to watch tomorrow!
