Wish he would've gotten more opportunity against Duke. Killed it tonight against an admittedly way worse opponent but was impressive nonetheless.

Jabari being a bonafide top 3 candidate would be a huge boost to this draft. It’s looking quite solid at the top with Banchero, Holmgren and potentially Smith, Hardy, Duren, Baldwin and Ivey.

I see more upside star potential in this draft in the lottery range as compared to 2021
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
So do I. Only a matter of time before 6”8” and above highly talented prospects acquire the KD/Giannis modern skillset. No longer pidgeonholed. It’s also that they grew up watching them play like this thus emulation.
Guards nowadays play like a Kobe/Curry hybrid.
Talls, KD/Dirk take your pick.
It’s great imo
Goddamn Demigods or Demigod light each year lol.
Dirk/KD/Giannis I’m sure a couple will join that unicorn label in due time there’s just too much of a talent pool to pick from nowadays. The most important part is developing them the right way.

I agree, much high potential for players in the top 10.
Outside of Mobley, next year is much better than this year.

Im not seeing it like that yet but maybe there will be more star potential at the very top this year.

Griffin and Duren are overrated, don't think either would go top 8 last yr imo

Yah, top end of 21 is insane. I do think it is above average, and I also think the mid and late lotto have probably more interesting prospects than 21...but Cunningham/Green/Mobley/Suggs/Barnes is a heck of a top 5.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
I don’t think this is a great draft class. But I also don’t think it’s a garbage one either. I think it’s just kind of middle of the road.
Same goes for the top of the draft. I don’t see any game changing talent, but I also don’t think it’s weak either. I just think it’s just a middle of the road class all around.

Ya at the moment AJ is behind Joey Baker on the depth chart. Any talk of AJ being a top lotto pick at the moment is pretty weird. This is coming from a huge AJ guy as well.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
At what point do we look at what Drew Timme is doing and think at least some of it is translatable? Clearly no NBA team is going to allow their offense to focus on getting him mismatches on the mid/low block but his footwork/feel/interior passing etc etc all signal to me good eye test stuff. Like it shouldn't be worthless that the man has outstanding evasive manueverability with the basketball in the halfcourt.
Think if he shows he can shoot in workouts he's gonna be like if Garza could be just regular bad guarding in space vs unplayable bad guarding in space.

just dont really know what Timme plays at the next level, he's not a switchable guy defensively nor is a paint defender, so he can't play either the 4 or 5 defensively, and doesn't have the ball skills really to be a four on offense in real or scalable way.
best case scenario you're kinda getting an off-bench utility big who can get some buckets for u on a bad team but just don't see him being anything more than that.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
There is a long list of Drew Time’s who were fantastic college players but just weren’t cut out for the NBA.
For Timme to work out in the NBA he would need 2 things. He would need to be a really good 3pt shooter and he would need to be a fantastic facilitator. That way you could play your offense through him out on the perimeter and with that versatility, he could use the foot work down low.
But right now he doesnt do either of those things. And again that doesnt even touch upon the defensive side where he will just be bad with no chance of being adequate. I think he is what he is, he’s an elite college player who just doesn’t have the game or athletic ability to translate to the NBA.
Fun as hell to watch him do his thing though at the college level.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
yea, Griffin is barely part of Duke rotation at this point, odd to say he's a top 5 guy, calling him a lotto guy would be a stretch, 6 minutes tonight in garbage time pretty much. we'll see what happens in a few games but right now there's no way he's a top 10 pick even in this draft, let alone last year's.
on a related note, looks like Hunter Sallis is also not starting the year in Gonzaga's rotation.

He has looked good to me, really aware of when to move into space on offense. Maybe not some transcendent player, but with his body and that awareness as he recovers from his knee injuries he might start to surprise people.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
What’s wrong with Duren or ADJ? ADJ is just coming back from injury and Duren looks great for his age.
I mean Turner is a underrated big in the comp and I see shades of that. They even have the same running gait
