I'm kind of hoping the Knicks can turn RJ into actual franchise player.

Obviously the way that this happens is by packing RJ and others with picks for a trade for that guy. :D

Man………

In terms of upside, the debate was really about RJ vs Garland for me.

Garland might've been the consensus #2 or #3 pick if he hadn't gotten hurt.

I think he has the 2nd highest ceiling after Zion from that draft class.

Nobody is on Ja’s level right now

It's true.

I still take Garland long-term.

He's not on Ja's level right now though, and this take could prove to be incredibly foolish.

Tyler Herro looks like younger Devin Booker. Not surprising considering he models his game after Booker but he always had the similarity to him even back at Kentucky and now he’s producing on that level as well

DeAaron Fox/Payton Pritchard/Ty Jerome
Ayo Dosunmu/Corey Kispert
Mikal Bridges/Javonte Green/Tosan Evboumwan

The game comes very naturally to him. Just natural basketball talent.

Since Melo, we haven't had talents that play the game naturally, besides perhaps Obi and IQ. I'm talking just the intangible feel for the game. RJ shows it in spurts, but inconsistently, as does Julius.

No mention of Derrick Rose? The best naturally gifted player we have had in a long time? The game comes so easy for him and you left him out, shame on you CB

You're right.

It's another reason why Rose is our best player.

True baller.

I know melo had an incredible start to the season and saved them a few time, but I hope they cut his minutes a little when lebron comes back. should be around 25 per game. otherwise I fear the wheels might fall off as the season progresses...

i was very torn between the two. my gut was telling me to take garland but probably i would have took rj too if i actually was the one to do it. nobody wants to take big risks in the draft.

Same here. That’s why I was praying so hard to land in the top 2. Cause I knew at 3 the pressure to just take RJ at there would be too much for most FOs to overcome. I felt Garlands game was more NBA transferable tho

RJ, IQ, Obi, Grimes, and McBride are all promising young dudes. Just a week ago, everyone was saying RJ for the all-star game. RJ's got an awful surrounding cast in the starting lineup so I'll give him a pass. He's gonna be solid.

I think we gotta dump Mitch for two late 1st rounders before the deadline. And we have to buy out Walker to make more space for IQ and Grimes. Not really gonna watch until some changes are made because it's pretty futile with Walker/Forny in the backcourt. Once Walker is gone and Forny goes to the bench, then I'll watch again.

I wanted Ja but we didn't get that pick. On the list of drafts we **** up, 2019 is pretty low.

Pretty sure we still would've picked RJ at 2. FO was enamored with him for a while and he was the consensus nr. 1 pick before Zion took over.

I'm pretty sure it was Pooch's original offer. We looked at about 12 iterations of the deal over the course of at least a month before settling back on it. Neither one of us wanted to give up our guy. I'm wildly high on THT's potential.
