GT - Bulls @ Clippers

Post#1 » by Michael Jackson » Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:39 pm

We get to see Klaw vs Paw, who has the better team with them in street clothes.

Just want to see them look like the team we have seen most the year. Active and scrappy. Missing Vuc clearly hurts but it is what it is.

I called PG13 a DDR impact player last year, let’s see these two prove it out tonight. I also have a Mann crush.

Team better have a chip on their shoulder after Friday night. The Clippers are a good team, can't come out lazy.

Clippers on the 2nd night of a b2b. They've been playing extremely well and have the 3rd best defense in the league. However, they do play relatively small outside of PG3 with both Reggie Jackson and Bledsoe starting. They also start a more traditional center which should make things easier for Bradley.

Clippers are a middling offense so our defense should theoretically have the advantage. Although without Vuc our offense is nothing to write home about. I think this could be a winnable game as long as both Zach and DD show up, and the defense is locked in. Clippers will be playing on tired legs so that will be our biggest advantage.

Keys for Bulls:

1) Make our 3's
2) Stay under 14 TO's
3) Win RB battle

I would like the Bulls to win tonight. That would be nice.

I’ll be at this one live.

What’s the argument for continuing to start Javonte over DJJ? Especially against PG tonight.

Another game that is winnable, but without Vuc, I’m not as confident. Hopefully they come out angry today, after getting their asses whipped the last game.

will the tall backcourt be able to take advantage of the clippers short backcourt?
will caruso or ball be forced to guard PG-13?

The memory of preseason blocks and dunks on tall guys?

Those were great memories, I’ll give him that.

I would assume Lonzo guards PG3 and DD guards Batum, which puts Jevonte and Zach on Jackson and Bledsoe.

Will the Clips blitz Zach and DDR like the Dubs did? I expect so. We need to find someone who can set a pick for LaVine, short roll to the foul line, receive a pass from Zach when he is double teamed, and then do something productive with the ball. With Vuc out, I am inclined that the best option is DDR. Our role players do not appear to be up to the task so far.

I think Lonzo has had pretty consistent impact defense. And positive player certainly. But quietly is having a mediocre year otherwise. Gotta pick it up in LA fella.

Good but…

The Bulls didn’t have a bad first quarter in Oakland. It might be a good idea to shake it up a little though

Bulls need to stay focused. I'm hoping last lost resonates to this club.
They got punched in the mouth to start this trip. Time to counter.
