We were tearing up the league the year after our championship, and we lost our best player in the offseason.

Scottie is averaging 14 shots per game. Two more shot attempts than Mobley. Right now it's a pretty tight race but I'd give Mobley the edge. The team is doing everything right with Scottie. They are giving him opportunities to bring the ball up, they are giving him the ball in the half court. He's certainly been given more opportunities offensively than Mobley has.

Now that Siakam is back, Scottie’s attempts have understandably gone down

But also a lot of Scotties “shot attempts” are from multiple tip in attempts where he doesn’t even get the chance to grab it but rather just redirects the ball onto the basket. Majority of Mobleys attempts are assisted shots that are created by his guards

In reality, Mobley gets much more help in getting his shots than Scottie even if the total shot attempts say otherwise

Siakam and Barnes don’t overlap. Both can get their shots. Aside from Fred, OG and Siakam no one else has a hierarchy. Like you said a lot of Barnes shot attempts aren’t really attempts. There is no reason for Goran and Gary, to take more shots than Barnes. Like none.

as i mentioned in the post-game thread of the pistons/raptors game, our guard wasn't good, we took way too many shots early in the shot clock from mid of 3rd qtr, rather than giving the ball to Scottie or OG to make the plays as the case in the game against the sixers,
moreover, we need to play Flynn more, if nurse isn't going to play him, trade him away as we're just stopping him from developing his game...for some odd reason, why do the raptors want to give preference to Banton over him at the PG duties is beyond me...

i get that I'm a fan, not a coach, but again, Dragic slow pace didn't help last game, December can't come soon enough, its time we moved him & went with our young core, GTJ missed 4 white open 3 pt shots, heck we missed 11 FTAs at well as a team; it bad game offenseively.

if Scottie doesn't many FGA again tomorrow, expect upper management to send a memo to coach staff, to give more shots to him...pistons made sure he had a quiet game, Cade will be a good player but lack of size will hurt him long term; i was expecting him to be 6'8 F/G who can play PG positions, but he is merely a 2 guard at best...

After going for 127 points on the road, the Pistons score 12 points in the first quarter at home versus the Kings...

The Cavs are rolling. They might make the Celtics have another players only meeting.

Damn, Derozan really is the last of a dying breed of two guards. He reminds you of all those dynamic scorers from the 90s and 2000s, with crazy footwork.

I love seeing the Lakers lose. But on one play AD loses the ball on a layup, and his shoe comes off. He's putting his shoe back on, on the baseline right beside the ref, but the ref lets the Bulls inbound the ball before he's done tying laces. He yells something at the ref, who then T's him and tosses him all in one motion. Crazy terrible power trip by the ref.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Hats off to Demar. The man's on fire. 15/23, 6/6 FT for 38-3-6 on a B2B in LA (12/16, 10/11 for 35-7-5 the night before).

I like this quote:

“To be honest with you, I don’t ever tell anybody this but I just try to be an inspiration for people that’s told they can’t do something or that they’re not good anymore,” DeRozan told Yahoo Sports. “Never let a narrative deter your confidence or your belief in yourself to fall victim to somebody else’s narrative. Just keep working, trust your work ethic, trust timing, and keep hope and faith in yourself and everything will work out. That’s just how I approach everything in life. Just keep going, keep pushing and don’t feed anything into the negative stuff people say or write. Keep going.”

They tanked 3 straight seasons; what do you expect? Sooner or later they will have to a make a push for that playoff spot otherwise players won’t re-sign with the team long term

The ballyhooed return of Lebron fizzled, they got killed by Boston. I saw him and Phil Handy in a shouting exchange after a guy, not Tatum blew by LBJ from the corner for an and 1 drive.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Lebron should have stayed in the East, moreover, the long minutes he has endured over the course of his career, its starting to show up, he doesn't have the same impact like he did before....time for retirement...let the new guys be in the spotlight.

Sexton should've signed that extension. Now out for the season with a miniscus tear will he get over $20 million per season offers?

screwed himself big time. I heard they offered him 80 million over 3 years. He wanted a 5 years contract.

That's a red flag to me. He wanted to cash in and just sit on the money. I want a guy that's not scared of free agencey bc they're gonna stay being productive.

His agent should be fired. Though I guess the agent urged him to take it. 26-28-31 million for a minus defensive player.

I see like no team that needs a 6'1 SG that's bad defensively. Some team may throw out $15 million per year.
