They're terrible -- every bit as bad as their record is. They are minus 9.6 points a game to their opponents.
Ingram doesn't help them. He's a bad player not a good player, & he's having his worst year since he was a rookie.
Valanciunas is a really good player having a good year. That said, his numbers overall are not in a class with what Trez is putting up.
Doesn't mean you can mail in a win. But, there is nothing good about that team. Temple, Hart & Valanciunas are good. Graham is meh even for a journeyman. Everyone else is absolutely awful.
You're right tho -- they'll probably stomp us!

Lol, I thought the last time we talked about Ingram you finally admitted he was pretty good, afterall. Yeah, he's had a bad start to the season, but he's been injured - it means nothing - Beal started worse than Ingram. If he stays healthy, he will end up playing on multiple NBA all-star teams. He has tons more value than players like Temple and Hart - and I like Hart. Correct about Jonny V, and yes - Memphis was foolish for trading him. Interesting that you now think Sato is absolutely awful - though I agree with you - after your years of raving about him.
Sato was terrific last year with the Bulls. This year he has only played 9 games -- & only 15 minutes per game -- & has not been good. There may be a reason he's so bad, an injury or something...? They are playing him out of position as well.
This year Brandon Ingram is taking @24 shots per 40 minutes & posting a TS% that's below average. There isn't some way to tilt that to an angle from which it's "good." His fans will point out that he gets more rebounds than average & more assists too. & when you point out that he turns the ball over way more than average & gets way fewer steals than average, they pay no attention.
You have to be exceptionally talented & athletic to be a good NBA player. But just because you are exceptionally talented & athletic doesn't mean you are a good NBA player.
As to his "playing on multiple NBA all star teams," hey, I hope you are right. I hope he becomes a terrific player. As to any comparison with Beal... Brad has had multiple outstanding NBA seasons, so when he regresses to his mean after a bad start, that's what you expect to see out of him: an outstanding season.
When Brandon Ingram regresses to his mean, he'll be bad, extremely bad, as his career averages suggest he will be. If, someday/somehow, he changes that, why then he'll be better. Only... he's already played over 10,000 NBA minutes. Few & far between are the players who are bad their first 10,000 minutes & then become really good.
NO might still stomp us! It seems like there'll come a night when we are over-confident. When we lose a game we should win -- lose b/c we think we should win. So far, these guys haven't shown any inclination in that direction. They are very motivated & committed.
Gotta hand it to Wes. He does seem like the real deal, that rare thing, a truly outstanding NBA coach. Admirable.
