I think Brown is more attainable than Edwards, but both are indeed very unlikely.

Ingram is the best straight up Simmons for another player, even if it involves a third team, Simmons out and Ingram in.

Even diminished looking Lillard is likely a package deal going out, so depends on the price given his age, contract, year he is having.

Murray over Fox by a large margin. He would be part of a package coming back, maybe with a third team. They are both subpar shooters, good scorers and Murray is cheaper and fills up the stat sheet elsewhere, with size that gives him a huge advantage defensively over Fox, and fits more with our cadre of smaller guards. Vessell would be a high ceiling guy you can hopefully get with him and either Derrick White or Dougie McBuckets would come here or go to another team.

Fox is having a turd of a year, is smol and might be the third most desirable player on his own team right now.

When the Kings hire Brett Brown to be their coach, I'm fully expecting them to trade for Ben.

Yeah, Bowen and Rodman were incredibly overrated defensively. Just dirty player hack antagonists that got under people's skin. And the unsophisticated audiences back then ate it up and issued a false history. Thankfully, we've evolved as fans/reporters so nobody in their right mind nowadays would ever slap a defensive label on Lance Stephenson.

You can keep cherry picking random guys who have defensive reputation but the math will be against you because the VAST majority of great defensive players throughout NBA history have at least 2% steal and 1% block for their career.

Do we think the Spurs would consider adding Vassell to a package?

A player’s health is part of what determines his trade value

That’s hardly a controversial take

And just fkn lol at me claiming that the Sixers are to blame for whatever is going on inside his head

They would probably want him to play with Simmons

Not that he does anything for us but Primo is probably the only thing off limits as they seem high on his potential

Yeah, Edwards is definitely very attainable as a future top 5 player in the league, I'm sure Wolves are salivating with the thought of trading Edwards for Bum Simmons.

As talented as Primo might be, the Spurs know the Sixers have no use for him. Rivers isn't about to develop him.

The hope is the Wolves don't want to hit the reset button after a Towns trade demand.

Same issue with Blazers and Dame

If I was the GM who moved Lillard, it’s definitely a reset with CJ following

Morey seems to know that & why the ask is so heavy with other teams

If their season continues as it is, they're going to have to choose between Edwards and Towns.

There's a shot they choose not to rebuild again after they've seemingly been doing so since 2005. They've only had one season above .500 since then.

I imagine several voices in that organization will be voting for a playoff push rather than another rebuild.

Simmons would be a centerpiece player for them, which they do not currently have. And Pop has raved about Ben previously.

I still think a Murray, Vassell, and Young package is attainable. It's the picks that could be questionable at this point, and I would still want 2. JMO.

The fit between Ben and Zion is so bad, I don't see a way the Pels make a Ben-based Ingram deal.

You would have to hope they fire Griffin, hold Zion out for the year, and decide to tank it up so they become interested in a bunch of Minnesota picks.

I never said that Ben makes any sense for NO. Matter of fact, im saying everywhere that three team trade with Wolves Sixers and Pelicans make sense for everybody.

Would need to be multi team deal as we don’t have enough roster spots and that opens opportunity for more returns

Let’s say we send Ben & Joe (Spurs are desperate for 3 point shooting)

We get Murray, Vassell and draft capital from Spurs & 3rd team

Third team gets Young

I am also on the Ingram train. To get him, it’s either the Kings or the Wolves as the third team. If we’re lucky, it becomes a bidding war and we squeeze a swap or something else that’s tangible out of it too. Kings with their talk of firing the coach, and Minnesota with the new owners and with Towns growing restless.
