HIs FTA/36 were equivalent to John Wall this year, and the prior year among all centers only Embiid and Unibrow had higher free throw attempts per 36. We can soften up opposing defenses by forcing fouls on their starting defenders with these 3 driving into the paint.

Well, he's averaging 18.3 points and 9.0 rebounds playing a career-high 28.9 minutes a game - close but probably not quite enough to make it to the all-star game.

Our $9,720,900 bargain player, what kind of contract offers awaits a player like Montrezl?

Not hard to see another 6th Man award. Look at his advanced numbers and his per36 numbers. He could ease off a lot and still have the best year of is career. Nate and company will know better who might have a need for an inside starter and have the money to be able to sign him, but I would think he is one of the more attractive FAs coming up.

He should, but his rep got dinged when the Lakers decided he can't play in the playoffs. What would really help his case would be... playing well in the playoffs for the Wizards.

For whatever reasons, they didn't play him in their game 2 and 3 wins, but in three of the four losses, they were clearly better with him on the court, based on +/-, so really just the last game, which I didn't see. Don't know if he had a bad game, gave up, or what. Looking at how little he was used and the +/- numbers, seems a bit much to judge him on just that.

Trez' impact has been closer to Jokic or some other elite level superstar than it has been to his career norms. Is this sustainable? I'm going to go ahead and guess no but there is no doubt he is the main reason for the team's hot start. That and improved team defense.

Bump. This guy has been our clear MVP so far and his thread should be on the front page.

Seriously though how many quarters has he bailed our offense out when everyone else was garbage?

He has been unbelievably consistent. He absolutely carries our 2nd unit.

This. There is not a single game that we lost that we could of won with less Trez, but I can count a few games we Won BECAUSE of him.
10/27: Boston - Trez leads the team in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots, and efficiency (25 & 11 on 13 FGA). We lose with a good, but average backup
10/28: Hawks - Team is on a back to back with Gafford hurt. Trez comes out firing with a double double (10/10/4 with no turnovers) in the first half!!! We jump out to 10 point lead and hold the line the rest of the game.
Ends up with 25 /13 / 5 / 2 /1...With ZERO turnovers. Leads team in rebounding and efficiency. We lose with a good, but average backup
11/10: Cavs - Trez leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and efficiency (22 & 11 on 12 FGA). We lose with a good, but average backup

I'd also argue that the Miami game (won by 3) and the Other Boston game (Won by 3) would also be L's without him... But it is most certainly between 3-4 games. We would be below .500

Per 36 he is averaging 22/11/3 with a TS of 71%. :o

And what is up with his foul shooting? His previous career best was 70.7%. He is currently at 82.4%.

It's like he's not that big or strong compared to others in the paint in the league. He just knows where and when to be in the right moment, and moreover how to create the contact and get the fouls. Fouls that make your opponents becareful a lot more, and then it's your key to be more aggressive in the paint. The things he been doing this season so far are crazy. Tough to think how we gonna run the offense without him on the court.

If he never even plays another game for the team, he’ll still be one of my favorite Wiz-llets ever.

Not sure which is better - Bullzard or Wizlet. Neto is definitely a Wizlet. The big guys like Gafford and Harrell are Bullzards, imho.

Harrell has been amazing, though. Team would be much, much worse without him. Hopefully they're able to dump Bertans and pay Harrell all of that guy's money. Would rather it go to somebody who actually gives a crap.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Trez has come back down to earth after playing like a legitimate MVP candidate over the first 13 games

I like what Cobra writes here...
CobraCommander wrote:I’m happy for Trez but I hate to see that man leave. ... I’m gonna miss Trez because he would come over before the game and talk to the fans (high school basketball kids) and take pictures AND then go out and entertain the crowd....

So long, Trez -- it was definitely good to have you on the Wizards!
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

Without Harrell's contribution early the Wizards might well be in proper lottery territory.

In a sense his performances have hurt this team's prospects and I doubt the 2nd rounder is going to make up for being a late lottery squad.
