Clay Davis wrote:Our defense is great but extremely inconsistent.

One of Nurse's weaknesses is that he runs a very short rotation... which reflects his high standards for the guys in the rotation.

This is fine for building play-off habits and for instilling a great system but the best system coaches were excellent educators, too. Pop always did a good job at getting guys in the burrows of the depth chart to be serviceable contributors.

Their aren't many better coaches at getting the most out of the top 7 in the depth chart and making them elite, but that won't do for a team like ours.

I don't think we'll ever win above 62 regular season games with a coach like Nurse, no matter how good our roster is.

Weren’t we on pace to win like 64 or something in the covid year?
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Just dumb defense, over commits and gambles leading to open shots.

and he doesnt box out half the time, and he is slow footed rotating out so other people rotate for him

Giannis also has a couple inches height and probably 20-30 pounds on him that allows him to overpower his opponent...that makes a world of difference.

Portland shooting 60% from the field is just comical.

6"9 not tall enough to block shots, not small enough to shuffle their feet fast enough. Maybe we need a team of 6"6 players.

0-4 with Pascal starting. Horrible team defense.

Is this still correlation does not mean causation?

Siakam gassed. Not getting to his closeouts. CJ always shoots lights out on us.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Raptors trying to get ahead of the curb in terms of the future of the NBA but these guys can’t stop guys smaller than 6’6”.

You’re too small at center and too slow to guard elite guards.

Lol at people acting like dame isn’t a superstar offensive guard.

I'm not worried about Pascal looking slow out there defensively as he works himself back but I am worried about him being completely lost with where he needs to be on the floor.

Return to Toronto Raptors
