I always love highlights on a player whose team is trailing by 20-30 points thru out the game.

To be fair, he plays for the Pistons.

Re: Cade Cunningham 25/8/8
Cade has looked very good the last 3-4 games after a rough couple games to start. I'm impressed with his poise and leadership. He looks like his ceiling is probably Tatum with better facilitating, but we'll see.
Barnes and Mobley are the most consistent rookies playing at a high level so far.
Barnes - 16ppg, 8rpg, 3apg, 1stl and 1bl on 51% shooting.
Mobley - 15ppg, 8rpg, 2.5apg, 1stl and 2bl on 49% shooting.
And both Barnes and Mobley have helped their teams at least respectable records (Raptors are 7-8 and Cavs are 9-6).

He closed the deal against the Raptors the game before this one.

Over 3 full quarters of garbage time against the Kings is a great way to pad your guys stats if he needs some confidence

That just means he saw his team struggling and asserted himself. if you watched the game, you would know.

Calling 3 quarters of a game as "garbage time." Yea cus no such thing as comeback win. Let's all just stop playing after 1 quarter of a game right. Is that your mentality if you ever played any sports?

Why not current Luka? Or maybe Lamelo?
He looks like a worse playmaker and scorer, but he's just started, and he was projected to be a version of them.
I mean, the big good rebounder passer-scorer doitall PG.

Hope you didn't get forced to watch any highlights of Steph Curry or KD or 99% of other high picks in their rookie years when their teams were getting crushed.
If you want to see some close game highlights, google him schooling the Raptors in crunch time. Or the Rockets. Or even his clutch play against the Nets. He's played 8 games and there's already plenty of that to see, despite his rough first 3 games or so.

I mean, he had 10 points on 4/10 shooting against Toronto. Lets chill out on that one

I said crunch time. A guy who can have an otherwise bad game and still have the confidence to come through in the clutch as a rookie is not super common. That's what we're talking about here. People in this thread are trying to make it sound like he played well because the pressure was low with the game constantly 15-30 points down. In reality, his small sample size in the NBA has generally shown the opposite. 5-of-7 FG's in the last 2 minutes with the game on the line. Just sayin...

So we aren't allowed to take away anything from Cade producing well even in blowouts, but any bad performance in blowouts means he is a bust. He plays on a bottom 3 roster talent-wise so I guess not very much will be learned this year.

Cade is not as ball dominant as either Luka or LaMelo. He can play off the ball and will also likely be a better/more efficient scorer than either.
He’s a playmaking 2, like Brandon Roy or Devin Booker with better passing.

How do you know barnes or mobley have helped? Not that I think Cade has been good, but I doubt barnes or even mobley could've helped the pistons to much in the way of a good record.

Let's playin for 9th!

And yet, and yet, and yet he's managed to fail to put up numbers several times this year thus far!

Ahh yes. When he plays bad it's because he's an Anthony Bennett level bust. When he plays well it's because his team is bad so that doesn't count either.
