We're still undermanned so our outside shooting and transition game as well as team D will have to be top notch. Let's put together a full 48 minutes of competitive play and some **** you grit so we determine our own course and outcome.

Derrick is so far the primary ball handler with DJ more off ball. Interesting.

Love seeing Derrick in the decision making position, love his off his dribble 3, love his spin away from screen for a left side J.

Looks like he feels more natural at the PG position than off ball based on his play in the Denver series if nothing else. Filled in so well... And here we are with some muscle memory. Good!

Well a decent start in terms of generating chances but some missed bunnies for 9-23. Only 1-4 from 3 but we've lucked out they're 1-10 from 3. Something to be careful about.

I like that everyone is getting a chance to score so far, good diversity. Thad needs to get going.

Need to generate better O and protect the ball inside - perhaps the latter first to get more of the former. Some passes inside to Drew and Thad are of the hot potato variety, but even the clean ones we can't seem to keep our hands on inside. Angle the body to protect the ball, fake, shoot or pass out. Our off ball players have to read it and get to better open spaces to receive passes and reset.

More downhill O in transition, please Spurs.

We keep giving up open drive layups on the right side. Some miscommunication is happening to allow that. We need to recognize and seal that up.

We won that Q on a 13-5 run for some excellent D to O transition. It's creating and fueling our energy so that's wonderful.

We're only 2-9 from 3, and both of those numbers hurt. We're in this game despite everyone not named DJ, Derrick, and Tre.

We're getting crushed in the paint (Jakob better go on a redemption tear on both ends when he returns!) and on those double screen drives on the right side. We have to rotate and provide some help D there.

Great deflections and steals (7!) for transition points. It's keeping us in the game.

We have to be careful about going under screens on their 3s. Contest these better.

We have to figure out how to prevent their leading scorer who is torching us from even getting the ball. Have someone on him at all times.

Also, more gang rebounding down low. Protect the ball.

Keldon, Doug, Lonnie and Devin MUST STEP UP and SCORE MORE.

We MUST get MORE GUYS CORING. SCORE, SPURS, SCORE!!!

After making a great comeback down 4 to up 5 for a nine-point swing, it swung right back towards the end of the Q in a big 17-point push.

We're allowing too easy drives, and now points in transition.

What can you do when you're 2-16 from 3? Neither of those numbers are good enough, but we're taking open enough 3s, just not hitting anything. We had momentum but it's adjusting and responding to them that will help us close the gap. We need lightening to strike for us on O.
