Buyout Market
Are there any players you envision being available in the buyout market this year. Last year, we saw a lot of buyouts and some useful players being bought out and signed by contenders. The article below is a little dated, but it identifies some buyout candidates.

Thad would be a perfect fit on this team, but he's been playing very well lately. I think it's possible he's got enough value to be a trade candidate. I don't see the Spurs buying him out at this point. Are there any other players that you think are potential buyout candidates that could be helpful to this team? Kevin Love is identifying that article too, but I haven't watched him don't know how much he has left in the tank anymore.

Pretty sure even if Thad was bought out we can't sign him for a year.
Zero interest in Love.
I'd be more interested in giving Oturu a shot.

I thought that we couldnt trade for Thad? We can't acquire him via a buyout either?

Pretty sure we can’t.
Love is cooked and he will not accept a buyout, he made that clear but as a buyout I might take him and I hated him always but as a buyout, championship experience counts for a lot. Buyout guys just need a foul, egiid games looking like their best selves at the right moment. Still love isn’t getting bought out. Thad would be more excellent still but alas. Have to trust AK has a trick up his sleeve at this point.

So there's absolutely no way to reacquire a player the year after they are traded? That's bogus.

Either of those two would be perfect.

Not 100% sure but I think not
No Re-Acquisitions — Once a team trades a player, it cannot reacquire that player during the same season. If the team trades a player between seasons, it cannot reacquire that player until the end of the next season. The only exceptions to these rules are if the player is waived and no other team claims the player.

If no one offers him more than the vet min? Yeah I can easily see him back. He likes Zach and I think he likes Billy.

I was just thinking of Tristan Thompson the other day... I think he would be great coming off the bench to sure up those rebounding numbers.

Chicago will be a destination for bigs that want to showcase their talents in the playoffs in hopes for another contract.

We will get someone eventually here. Happens every year. This year may have a large group of bigman buyouts.

All part of AKMEs plan...
Show the success of small ball
Have a bunch of teams waiving quality big men to try and mimic us and then we buyout the best of the big men and go to work in the playoffs!

Don’t understand why so many people would like to add the corpse of Derrick Favors. I’d definitely rather have Bradley.

Most of these guys are bad fits for this roster.
House is a SF.
Canter/Love don't help this roster.
Gordon/Harris aren't being bought out.
Augustin we don't need
Only ROLO and Favors is realistic here.

Love would be the perfect guy for our bench next to either Bradley or DJJ to give us 3pt shooting/scoring/perimeter playmaking.
Canter at least gives us more bench scoring.
We can use 3pt shooting, smart vets like Augustine, House and Moore come playoff time. I especially don't trust that White will be a guy who we'd want to rely on come playoff time.

I'll take any of them.
Can you imagine RoLo on this love-fest team?
I mean, he's a bad on-court fit, but as a cheerleader on the bench... man I love that guy.
He's also another big body to throw at Embiid if we face the Sixers in the playoffs.
