RIP to a RealGM legend. One of the real OG's on this site I've been following his posts for over the last decade. Very objective poster and one of the few Raptors fans to not embarass the fanbase on the General Board. We lost a real one.

My condolences. May he smile down on the Hawks.
What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of ****' a-holes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your freakin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy."

I didn't have the opportunity to get to known the guy. Didn't realize he was a RGM lifer like myself. It seems like he was one of the good ones and well respected by those whom he had crossed paths with online.

Rest In Paradise

May your spirit guide you to a better transition away from pain and sadness.

Very sad to hear this. Such an awful disease that cuts so many lives short. RIP, and my condolences to his family.

Sad news. Me and him went at it a few times but that was basketball related stuff. I’m shocked reading this. I remember our last debate he would remind me of my post I made about the Suns having bad luck playing the Lakers in the playoffs . I had to start ducking him because he reminded me a few times how wrong I was about that when the Suns won the series lol.

R.I.P The_Hater. Sad to hear this. Condolences to his family.

Hope he's resting easy now and gets the watch multiple raptor championships from up above.

Rest in peace.

RIP The_Hater. Really classy on Jack Armstrong and Matt Devlin to mention him during the Raptors/Blazers game. At the very least he finally got to see his beloved Raptors win a title and bring one home to the north and enjoy a parade that many(myself included) will cherish forever.

Thank You for your contributions.

That one's for him.

Am I understanding your post correctly- that The_Hater was given a shout out by the announcers during the Raps game? If so that's pretty cool

Yes, they posted this on the raptors board. I couldn't quite hear the last name but he is indeed referred as Ted.

RealGM loves you, Melissa.

Wow how did the announcers know him? Did he used to go to the games on the regular or something? God bless him.

Very classy for the announcers to pay their respects. Sad to hear this news. Didn't interact with him a ton and I'm not all that active here but I've been coming to this forum for almost 15 years, so I obviously came across his posts often. My mom is losing a battle with cancer as well, so I know how awful it is. My condolences to his friends and family. RIP

Wow. This is sad and sudden. He was always easily one of the best and most memorable posters on here.

I found myself agreeing with him more than not. But we did get into a couple of debates, but I never felt as if he was disrespectful or rude. It's hard to be able to disagree with someone and not be disrespectful for a lot of people. He managed to never do that. At least to me.

It also made your opinion feel even more validated when he and-1'ed your post.

Rest in peace, and God bless you and your family!

Sorry to hear about your mom, I lost my mom to cancer. I regret not spending more time with her towards the end, though Covid made it difficult since they had limitations on hospital visits during that time.
