Best sign is the last 4 games the Dallas offense has looked like the Dallas offense again. Not that concerned about his individual stats, those are going to come. But need to see the team rise with him.

And need him having fun. When he's having fun he's much more decisive, quicker to move the ball. When he's frustrated its lots of pounding, pounding, pounding then forcing bad shots.

And finally it helps some of the shooters are starting to come around. Because when guys are missing open shots he creates, he starts to think well I've got to just do it all myself. And that's not the formula.

Big test tonight. Dallas has gotten smoked by good teams and they've really struggled inside. Jokic is not the salve to that. And while it is a b2b for Denver, their winning percentage on the 2nd night the past few seasons suggests they aren't affected much.

Doncic acknowledged the concerns about his weight and conditioning by saying "I know I've got to do better." Doncic also hinted that he might have come into the season out of shape.

"I had a long summer," said Doncic. "I had the Olympics, took three weeks off, and I relaxed a little bit. Maybe too much. I've just got to get back on track."

Doncic also said he's still struggling after spraining his left ankle last month. That injury, combined with a sprained left knee and a sprained left thumb, have hampered Doncic in his ability to improve his conditioning.

"It's still painful, but I try to play and try to practice
," Doncic said of the sprained ankle. "But it's still painful."

He's fat, yep. But Harden played at the historic level in the seasons.

Yes, that’s not a bad thing at all. Harden was a monster.

I think it's bad when you're perimeter player.

random Luka fun fact from the broadcast tonight. Mavs have had 350 players in their 40 year history.

349 of them combine for 40 triple doubles
1 of them has 40 triple doubles

Rough year so far for Luka but you wouldn’t have known it last night. Raptors have had lots of injuries to key guys this year and so their defense hasn’t looked good at times but they’ve always done a good job slowing down superstars.

Luka put poor Scottie Barnes in the torture chamber down the stretch to the point that he actually quit on the final play. Hard to watch as a Raps fan but also have to appreciate the greatness. Luka is still a bad man when he wants to be.

What do y'all think of Luka's progression? Has he improved from previous years?
