Honestly it felt like Cade missed a ton of shots and wasnt that good until he got in those last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Clearly but let's give CoJo his due, his energy and scoring flipped the game midway through the 4th then Cade closed it. People **** on CoJo when he sucks but he deserves credit when he plays well and he was good in this one.

Yup Cojo was huge this game. Best + - on the team at 14. Cade was next highest at 11. I'm not a Cojo fan but he can get hot from time to time and tonight was one of those nights.

Yep, he's a winner. The shooting is erratic but he makes winning plays consistently. They almost beat the Nets and Sixers too with Cade btw.

Sure. I'd say that Cojo certainly kept them in it. Without Cade they don't win it.

Not true. He was making plays early in the game. His only issue was missing threes, if only a few of those fall it's a gaudy statline. He has cut down on the turnovers as well in recent games.

If Grant had Cades statline tonight everyone would be upset with him shooting 1 for 8 from deep.

still good to see him step up as the man late in the game despite being inefficient

Can't forget he's still a rookie taking over for a win in clutch situations. He's gotta be at the top of the list in the league in clutch situations (under 2 mins)

I just don't like the Hill comparison, he was a dunking machine where Cade is just more see every angle all around as a 3 level scorer

Didn’t get to watch the game , due to work
All I’ll say is it’s very very refreshing to have a young player with Cade’s talent on our roster.
Once his 3’s start hitting with consistency we are going to see plenty of 25+ point games
Excited to see what comes next

Doesn't remind me of Hill at all.

Me neither, I'll give you 30 games in for your conservative answer 8-)

Looking like Luka though

Cade fills up the stat sheet like Hill. They had completely diff ways of scoring though. Cade is a shooter while pre injury Hill was a explosive athlete who barely took any 3s.

Cade reminds me of Luka. Didn't get the comparison before the draft, but after having watched these last 9 games, and having watched almost every single Mavs game since Luka got drafted(no joke), the way he collects stats seemingly out of nowhere is eerily close. Besides that;

They both like getting the rebound and playing heads up, with 4 players (teammates)ahead of them. Passes the ball with ease down court for easy layups. When he gets them, Cade loves using the pick and roll, to grease his way into the lane and make a decision on what to do. He has an excellent floater at the rim, can get to the rim using a bevy of moves, can also kick it out for the easy three.

It's really, really wierd watching Cade play after having seen so many damn Doncic games.

What you have to do is compare Cade to Young Luka and the similarities are just insane. He also has that clutch gene that has made Luka a household name. I could really go deep(Cade likes to fade to the left at the top of the arc, and make the cross court pass over the top to the open shooter)but its really freaking me out. Pace, movements, slipperyness, passing, it's all there.

One thing he does have is a quicker first step, a bigger wingspan, and huge hands.

Its early, but the returns are fantastic so far.(Luka also struggled shooting from the outside early on as well)

We need to add another big like a 7 footer athlete pick and roll lob threat. Imagine that with two playmakers like Killian and Cade in the backcourt with Stewart bring energy off the bench.

Need Drummond back lol

I've been screaming this since Cades 4th game. He desperately needs a rim runner, and preferably two. Its another pressure release when he gets into the lane. Players like Powell, and Kleba get a lot of flack, but I would kill to have them as an option for Cade to lob to when he gets into the lane.

Weaver has to get a rim runner at all costs.
