Re: Game 16: Warriors @ Pistons
Will Kuminga get his first career start? Sounds like we'll have something like Poole/Lee/Wiggins/???/Looney out there. Kuminga has been playing the Draymond role at times but they may go with JTA there since he hasn't gotten much run and has more polish/experience. Or maybe Belly.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Re: Game 16: Warriors @ Pistons
This could be a rough game because we just don't have much reliable scoring with Steph and OPJ out, and Draymond and Iguodala out means our playmaking takes a huge hit. I see a lot of brutal isos and chucking but I hope I'm wrong.
Wiggins and Poole are going to have to carry the bulk of the scoring load, I hope they find their 3 shot because it's been dreadful lately. Both of these guys are shooting about 30% from 3 in the month of November and that's not going to cut it. Maybe Lee can get it cooking and Bjelica can chip in, those are seriously the only 2 guys with a decent outside shot right now.
X-factors may be the rookies, Kuminga can be a dynamic force if he stays away from his chucking tendencies and Moody's shot looks completely broken but that can't last forever.
Cade's been slowly improving and this looks like just the game for him to break out.

My guess is Looney JTA Wiggins Poole GP2.
Wiggins and Poole will get 25 fpa each tonight.

Fortunately for us the Pistons score the fewest points in the league.
Not sure who will win but I'll say 96-91 final.

Look at this as a pre-season game - everyone especially Kuminga Moody GP2 JTA and Lee will get plenty of minutes to prove they belong with the big boys aka guaranteed rotation minutes and no DNP.
Let's see who wants it more. I am excited to see who will step up.

Poole, Lee, Moody and Kumungous should all have plenty of opps in this game to show their offensive chops. I imagine Bjeli and JTA are going to be the glue guys that keep the engine running, with Bjeli more offensive focuses and JTA more defensive. We'll see whether the strength in numbers philosophy shows up.

Maybe they should have Steph and Draymond suit up and hang out by the scorer's table. The guys on the floor will think they're in a normal game and do their thing and the defense will be terrified they might check in, maybe even send double teams at Steph on the sideline.

I hope Kuminga gets a lot of time and strict instructions only to go to the cup.
The scary thing about this game is this is a classic Kerr game where instead of putting in the best starting 5 he'll go and start some scrub like Chiozza so everyone else can have their "normal sub patterns" lol. Steve is doing a great job though, just thought this might be a scary thing that happens.

I know what you mean, but I don't think it will happen tonight. I'm sure they would hate to take an L going home. I could see GPII starting to see what he can do with Cade.

Yeah Steve used to do that more when we had a full group with one guy sitting. It was just a nightmare that popped into my head
Really have no idea what Steve will do tonight -- Looney for example won't look good with these depleted group, might not even be playable. He's only good when he has talent around him and he can be more one-dimensional.
How well we can shoot the 3 will decide the game. If we can't hit them then they'll just clog the paint while we whiff.
Looney
JTA
Wiggins
Lee
Poole
That's my guess as to who Steve will start. Bjelica for Looney would make a lot of sense though. Tough debate on GP2 vs. Lee, GP2 is the better player but I'm worried his offense is a bit too limited to play a lot without Steph/Dray/Iggy doing smart stuff to get him good looks.
Poole has been a black hole lately on offense but with no other viable ball handler there isn't really much of a choice unless we wanna go Maple Point Forward.

Poole is shooting 15% from 3 this road trip, detroit might just be what he needs.

Not sure. I think it's more that he's very dependent on the rhythm/flow of the game and the confidence he draw from it. And playing with Curry may not help him here.
