[Note: And things get even crazier from there... with fans on the court during the final couple of seconds as the Pistons tried to tie it... and a possible trip no-call.]
Against the Lakers, no less, who they defeated 16 years later to win their third title.

Just in case you weren't familiar with more of the family tree, Jerami is brothers with Jerian Grant, and both are the sons of Harvey Grant who played in the NBA and is Horace's twin brother.
And as a side story: When they were kids, Harvey once stabbed Horace in the butt with a fork, and Horace left it in until his mom got home to get Harvey in trouble.
Harry Garris wrote:The Celtics and Knicks are the only original NBA teams left in the NBA. There were 11 basketball clubs when the league first started but every other team has gone bankrupt except the Warriors (who moved). Here's what happened to the other 9 founding teams:
1. Chicago Stags -> lasted 4 years, had their name changed to the Chicago Bruins and travelled around as one of the teams that played against the Harlem Globetrotters before disbanding. The NBA expanded again in Chicago with the Zephyrs in 1961 and finally the Bulls were the permeant expansion team in 1966.
2. Cleveland Rebels -> only lasted one season before the team went bankrupt. The NBA re-emerged in Cleveland when the Cavaliers were one of 3 expansion teams in 1970.
3. Detroit Falcons -> also only lasted one season before going under. The Fort Wayne Pistons, who actually pre-dated in the NBA and were a part of another league, joined the NBA in 1949 and then moved to Detroit in 1957.
4. Philadelphia Warriors -> never went bankrupt, but they moved to the San Francisco area in 1962 and became the Golden State Warriors.
5. Pittsburgh Ironmen -> only lasted one season and were the worst team in the league. Pittsburgh has never had a NBA team since. They did have an ABA team from 1967-1972 but sadly it went under before the NBA-ABA merger.
6. Providence Steamrollers -> they lasted 3 seasons before throwing in the towel. And there has not been a professional sports club based in Rhode Island in the 60+ years since.
7. St. Louis Bombers -> were one of the more successful early NBA franchises since they lasted a whole 4 seasons. St. Louis got another NBA team soon after that when the Milwaukee Hawks moved there in 1955. This team would go on to become the Atlanta Hawks in 1968.
8. Toronto Huskies -> a sad story as they weren't good and lasted only one year. Toronto had to wait 48 years to have another chance at a professional basketball team when the Toronto Raptors became a NBA expansion in 1995.
9. Washington Capitols -> yes the same name as the hockey team in DC. They lasted 5 years before moving to another basketball league and then going bankrupt after one more season. DC got another team in 1973 when the Baltimore Bullets moved across the river to DC, and then rebranded as the Wizards in 1997.

I am willing to bet that you also care significantly more about events that happen to your friends, family, or neighbors than you do about things that occur halfway around the world. The farther we are removed from a situation the more difficult it is to care.

There’s a difference between not caring about it and making millions off it.

Makes sense. I know it said they were identical but I guess because they wore their hair and facial hair different, plus Harvey not always wearing goggles, they don't look identical to me.Myth wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:I legit didn't know Horace had a twin brother, wow.Myth wrote:Just in case you weren't familiar with more of the family tree, Jerami is brothers with Jerian Grant, and both are the sons of Harvey Grant who played in the NBA and is Horace's twin brother.

I had the advantage of him spending time as a Portland Trail Blazer while I was a kid. All Blazer fans from that era were aware.
