Good to see him making shots. The game opens up for everyone when siakam has a first option type game. It’s too bad he can’t be more consistent.

Pascal started the game goimg to the rim. That opened things up for him the rest of the game. Needs to do that every game

Scottie stans are making this place incredibly toxic by creating these false narratives that the team is freezing Scottie out/Scottie hates them and placing blame on everyone else when Scottie makes a mistake. Even tonight, Scottie has been fed the ball NUMEROUS times in perfect position to score right at the rim and he has either taken way too long to get into his move or stand under the net then pass the ball out...but you have posters saying that FVV has been ignoring him again. There are 4 teammates on the floor at all times with Scottie. Not every pass has to be to him. Good lord lol.

You two, knock it off.

That time and time agenda post is so barftastic.

Maybe some people have an agenda. Or maybe some people just think certain players don’t contribute to winning basketball.

I mean wtf does it mean to have an agenda? Like we have something to gain out of a player failing? Maybe we just want good players than can help us win… why would we want particular players to fail?

You can think whatever you want, but you better have something to support your opinions. Far to often this board ignores facts and instead just pushes **** (like, Scottie and FVV hate each other) that makes no sense.

Excusing every Scottie mistake and literally just making stuff up to justify any bad Scottie play and downplay anything good Siakam/FVV/GTJ do is just tiresome and not grounded in reality.

OG right now is a darling because he’s been a main option for 10 games. By next season he will be the new scape goat.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Having numerous cooks (who can play about .500 ball) when a rookie is in game 17 of his career, or even most of his first year, is absolutely fine It says nothing about where you expect him to be in his prime.

Rushing a player who is not a great ball shooter / handler (yet), into a high usage role that he is not ready for is something perenially bad teams do to players that tend not to develop.

Does his role need to be tweaked to get shots at other spots. Sure. But forcing high usage on to him makes zero sense in my view.

I just don't get it.

That logic doesn’t make sense. Perennially bad teams have to do that because they have no other talent. And that’s why they’re bad.

This team isn’t lackin talent. It’s misusing the talent it has. Scottie has the best playmaking potential on this team and eventually that is his projected role. It makes more sense to try to develop it ASAP instead of using him as a screen setter and rebounder. What good does that do him or the team? Doesn’t it make more sense to get his reps in… and going forward the team will be better for it. Again it doesn’t have to be all the time. B it he should be used like draymond. Use him at the top of the key or in a post up and set screens for fvv or Trent where he can find them. These are set plays.

Nurse not taking advantage of his skillset in this why is perplexing.

You are being inconsistent here.

If you want to say we have to use our talent better and run a few different plays for Scottie to use his talent better that I can certainly live with.

If you are saying we need to run players off the team now (which you said you wanted to do in your first post) in order to force a much higher level of usage to Scottie that he is not ready for... that is a problem to me.

Yeah force them off the team for players that actually have a defined role and skillset conducive to team basketball. Team is full of too many selfish players.
