I wonder if casual sports fans who don't watch the nba know the Sacramento kings exist

Of course the Warriors would rest their players tonight against the Pistons so they are ready to face us. Bring them on. I ain't scared.

Basically the same player, right down to the push shot.

Only difference is Holmes is the recipient of a bloated contract.

Man if they lost this one holy ****

Wouldn’t mind a Boucher + cash for Thompson trade, he can still bang down there

On to the next one

Rico should be a person of interest to purge from the Kings coaching staff should Luke Walton get the axe.

That was well-deserved and loved the compete level overall. Nurse almost ruined it with his no PG line-up to start the fourth. Like why not play Banton or Flynn at least.

Scottie was having an off-game. Making him the defacto PG was strange. Hield gave them a bit of life.

I liked Trent's game, even if he looks off everyone, when he gets going him and Pascal can be a pretty potent scoring punch. I have to say it was eye-opening watching Trent play with the bench.

Very good win. That's exactly what they need to do against teams they should be better than. I stayed away from the game thread because it's just been getting too overwhelmingly negative and toxic lately, and it was a good choice.

Great bounce back game by Pascal. He needs to be more consistent, for sure, but I disagree with people who say that he hasn't improved at all in the past two years. His passing and playmaking are definitely better, and the footwork that he showed on a lot of those jumpers tonight is stuff that he really wasn't capable of two years ago. He just needs to put it all together and be more consistent.

And how about that stat line from Birch - 10 pts, 9 rbds, 4 stls, 2 blks in 23 minutes. He's such an underrated player.

It definitely seems that Barnes has hit the rookie wall, unfortunately. But that's ok. He's a very smart player and hard worker. I have no doubt that he'll push through it. The team just has to be patient with him.

Man....Scottie is looking SO promising. Hear me out for a sec:

Yah he had a rough game. The bad:

-seemingly missing more and more rotations (might have something to do with OG being out tho)
-multiple fumbles/rookie mistakes on Offense
-not shooting good
-a little too timid when he has ball on perimeter
-being a +2 for a 30 point win when you're a starter is a bad sign

But even during a 'rough' game...he's STILL showing flashes of brilliance. Multiple amazing assists and also several great passes that just weren't converted. Also still making some good defensive plays.

When 95% of rookies have a bad game....they don't show flashes like this. I just think it's a really good sign that even his rough games have redemptive qualities.

Key thing tonight was the return of Precious (missed layups and all), because it allowed us to have a center on court all the time. Which made Pascal play better, because more comfortable. And Boucher as well benefitted from playing alongside a stronger guy.

Imagine if we just got a center good enough to bump Precious to 3rd on the depth chart.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Good defensive adjustment from Nurse. Also better bench usage. Putting Trent out there with them was a nice move...I would've liked to see a bench of Flynn, Banton, Barnes, Trent, and Precious though. Let's see if we get there.

Goes without saying but great game by Siakam. Regardless of whether or not this is an indication of his future play, I'll always be impressed with his resilience and mental toughness.

Barnes' strengths and weakness were on full display tonight. Very impressed with his playmaking, good things happen when he has the ball in his hands. I'd like to see more reps from him in that regard.
