I'm not comparing Kanter to MLK. Only saying he's made more genuine stands for people's lives, freedoms, rights than Lebron has... and in doing so, he's closer to MLK than Lebron "you're not educated on the situation" James is.
Outside of tweeting, what has Kanter done that was of any risk to him personally?
What has Kanter done that can even compare to Lebron's I Promise School?
To answer this question would need me to delve deeper into politics, and we are not allowed to go down that rabbit-hole here. Especially if I had to compare the plight of those that Kanter is standing up for (the Uyghurs, Tibetans, etc)... with the social justice/racism issues that Lebron stands for, most of which (but not all) I consider farcical. AFAIC, Kanter takes a stand for people who are actually downtrodden... and against governments/systems that are actually oppressive... who could actually retaliate against him... and that's all I will say.
By the way, when you say Lebron's I Promise School... do you mean the school that Lebron's foundation is providing 25% of the funding (with money obtained from donors, such as Harvey Weinstein, and not 25% of Lebron's money)... while Akron's taxpayers are funding the other 75%?
