Fox, Lillard and Harden all are not good.

Ben, Lillard and Harden would have dragged the Kings to the playoffs long ago

You want this guy?

Only doc can pull it off.

So sounds like you’re more than OK with that deal huh?

Because that deal makes a lot of sense for us.

Yes, ha. I think Maxey is slightly overrated/overvalued by this fanbase right now, though. I'm not sure if GMs view him as a difference maker they way that some Sixers fans do. If we could attach him to Simmons and get a top prospect back, I'd be thrilled.

The Kings have not been to the playoffs since 2006. This is an organization thing. Not a player thing.

They don’t have the cattle

Sixers won 38 games in 2 seasons before Simmons turned up & was one of the most dysfunctional franchises in global sports

Fox is simply not very good

Nah, Sixers were coming off a stretch were we made the playoffs in 4 out of 5 years before Hinkie's tear down. The Kings were an incompetently run organization for 15 years straight by the time Fox got drafted. No one player can overcome that. Prime Cousins couldn't even lift them to the playoffs.

Morey knows this and that’s why the price is high

If we give Simmons away for Fox or Grant then we’re screwed as they have no value & we will be worse

It’s either a ton of trade assets or a star

Straight up swap for Simmons & Fox

We’re a lot worse and they make the playoffs

Not hard

That's just not correct.

Trading one of the worst playoff performers in the NBA for a dribble-pass-defend halfcourt shotcreator that averages nearly 20 for his career would make us way better.

Tyrese Haliburton and Sadiq Bey have both kinda been underwhelming this year.

Agreed. Simmons is the superior talent.

But you can't evaluate this (or any Ben trade) as a swap within a vacuum though. Ben Simmons will never put on a 76ers jersey again.

Fox is probably about the best type of talent we could hope to get, and he'd still be attractive to teams in the next 2-3 years in another future trade if a true gamebreaker suddenly hit the market and wanted out.

There’s a massive difference in quality here

Simmons would drag the Kings to the playoffs every year

The Kings are about to blow it up with Fox

Absolutely no comparison

Hold on a second, weren’t you the one who said Morey did everything wrong?

And now you saying exactly what Morey is thinking and you seem to be okay with it?

I agree with Morey in regards to Fox

Trade with Kings starts with Fox and they need to add more

Where I disagree is that Simmons should have been traded pre draft

This relationship is over and it’s now ugly

Simmons wouldn't drag the Kings to **** unless you mean the COD tournament.

Of course you will overrate Simmons since you are Aussie, that's what you do.

I haven't seen enough Bey to come to any conclusion but I can't tell you **** all about that Kings team. It reminds me of the old Knicks squad with Jamal Crawford (Crawful is an all time nickname). There was a decent amount of talent on those teams but the organization was such trash that it became this swirling void that destroyed any career that entered. My gut tells me that all of their guards are good but its hard to judge anything with that organization.

I have no idea why anyone thinks Davion Mitchell is an interesting player

I thought Haliburton sucked as a freshman. So I was always wary about him even despite his sophomore year breakout and early returns as an NBA rookie. I think deep down, his true nature is that of a JAG. His skillset is just so insane that he occasionally conveys the mirage of being a much better player.

Definitely a winning piece you'd want as your 4th or 5th starter, though. He's in that Lonzo Ball range of appeal, for me.

For all the people that thought the Kings were in good shape with Monte McNair at the helm, that selection of Davion Mitchell was the ultimate record scratch moment. Not so fast.
