Butler & LaVine.

Butler is wildly good. The list of players better than him is incredibly short.

LeBron and AD didn’t even try to get him. Just flat out silly. Sat waiting for Kawhi. Jimmy has his flaws for sure but he has a captain thing that many players lack

Lebron tried to trade for Paul George instead of Butler IIRC, which is even worse than holding out for Kawhi.

The team that really screwed up by not taking Butler was Boston IMO. They just had to beat out what Minny offered, and you've got Butler in Boston with Tatum & Brown? Ainge even said after the trade that Minnesota overpaid.

Ha!!!! Hilarious that was an auto correct, it was supposed to be certain not captain lol. The captain thing though absolutely fits though and yes in that light that is exactly why LeBron ran and hid from him. Still they would have been unstoppable. I mean for Butlers warts can't be worse than Russ is now.

Hahaha amazing auto correct.

I feel like LeBron wanted Russ for his pregame fashion more than anything

There are few places that Russ is a great fit. I mean the current OKC squad where they are trying to lose games, he might be great. He is the type of that would have been good on the former Bulls teams just because he would have put butts in the seats.

Halftime of Lakers and Celtics. LeBron looks fine, and I kinda wondered if he is milking his time off for rest. He almost has to this season.

Trade deadline and vet buyout market should be interesting. I could see one of: Kevin Love, Thad Young or Tristan Thompson be on the Bulls later this year

Thad can't come back until 2022. Love won't accept a buyout. Thompson is long past his usefulness.

You're right that the deadline will be wild. Loads of teams within playoff possibility and lots of unhappy vets.

I'm a Heat fan and big fan of DJJ and I come in peace only to say WOW! When Lavine & Jones go off like that it is hugely entertaining. We really liked Jones on D too (especially zone coverage top of the key). I hope he is impressing Bulls fans too. Show him the love.

All best. Stay safe everyone and have fun!

Yeah I think he has won over the hearts of a lot of Bulls fans on this last road trip. DJJ + FRP > Larry Nance from my viewpoint, even more so when considering health and salary. He has been great to watch. Manning up against the big boys in the NBA

Butler & LaVine.

I apologize to anyone reading this in advance as I've probably made this post at least a half dozen times. Can't help myself. Other than the obvious Derrick remaining healthy option - drafting Lavine instead of Dougy McC'monWTFGarPaxBuckets!?!? to pair with Butler is my biggest Bulls "what if..." of all time.

Who knows, maybe they clash, but my alternate world sees them creating an insane culture of competitiveness and hard work. The offseason workouts would be the stuff of legend. Shudder in fear any teammate looking to do anything but bust ass to win.

Love what he brings, and hope he'll just keep getting better. I was always puzzled how he didn't crack our initial rotation at all. Seems even crazier now.

I think he didn’t get the sets they were running right away. Obviously AK and BD had faith imho. They took him over the easy band aid in Larry nance. He needed a minute to learn what this team was doing. I do think the envisioned him as Pats backup though, but he might be pats replacement. In a way Pat might be like DJJ a guy with a ton of talent that takes a few years to figure it out. Or maybe I am talking out of my butt lol.

Heat blew an 18 point lead and lost to the wizards. We aren’t the only ones.
