Bingo. That’s honestly the easiest way to look at it.

Just about all Suns players did not have a great game. Ayton looked like himself though - not sure if that’s a good or bad thing honestly.

He can. For whatever reason you choose not to remember.

Exactly; he can. But he doesn't unless you only focus on a highlights reel.

I'm sure you'd have a stat if he did actually demand the ball or create his own shot more than 2x a game.

He has his hand up often and doesn't get it. He's often ignored. I don't know how closely you watch but he has his arm up quite a bit. I don't know what you want him to do to get the ball more.

Oh wow; case closed.
*facepalm*

That's not demanding the ball. That's asking. "Here, if you need..."

I know you watch the game through the box score, but go and compare the best C's of the last 25 years and compare their aggression and competitiveness around the key to Ayton's softness. I doubt you'll just see them standing there waving hello to their teammates like DA does.

Not sure what you want him to do, and why you are putting the blame for this game on him here. He pretty much scored the most points on the fewest shots. In that video that was from the previous year when he actally got over 4 more shots per game...before they dropped his shots, to 10 shots per game last year and this year so far.

And you might be surprised, but a box score doesn't show pictures of Ayton with his hand up. Honestly I don't think you watch much if you don't notice him being ignored down there when he does have position and his hand up...not waving but saying "look, I'm open for an easy shot". You don't want to scream and draw attention. I don't know. What strange responses you come up with. Waving hello?

The Admiral played with guards like Avery Bradley...Hakeem with Kenny Smith...those coaches and teams built their offenses around those guys...they made sure people got the ball to them. Ewing played with Mark Jackson, not a big shot taker....or Doc Rivers. Those Cs all game in where it was clear they were the #1 guy. Shaq too until Kobe got a little older and wanted to take all the shots so Shaq ended up leaving.

The key against the Mavs, and many other teams, is running and look for the guy who is defended by the other team's star.
Doncic hides on defense all the time and does not run backwards ever. So it is easy if you know what to do and have the patience to find the guy defended by him.
Others have to help and then you find open oportubities.

I loved what our team did last night. Even when Young did not play a great game.
I especially liked what Reddish showed on the court, being agressive and having confidence on his dribbling.
