I thought the guys would close it out just playing for Beef Stew. They are just too young yet to handle the pressure. They'll get there but it does hurt. Games against certain teams you simply want to win with a passion as a fan and the Lakers are at the top of that list for most along with the Bucks, The 76ers, Nets and teams like that.

Casey is so frustrating to watch. Toronto fans have to be glad they don't have to put up with this anymore.
cade wasn't able to do much with avery bradley's ball pressure like the entire fourth quarter. every time he did get the ball in a position to make plays he was clearly uncomfortable going against bradley.
it's just growing pains for cade as he develops, he's going to have more stretches/quarters/games where he struggles against ball pressure this season.

They still had AD, Westbrook, Melo, etc on that team. We had no one over 6'7" on the floor. We had better balance without Killian out there, but we need bigs in the worse way. This is a game KO would have opened things up.

Should have won because we were up 17 to start the fourth quarter.

it's pretty important for cade to a) be willing to take those 3s and b) eventually make them consistently because he doesn't have the burst to blow by players with athleticism alone. him being a threat to shoot those is key to his fakes and hesitations to keep defenders off balance which helps him get to the rim. until he gets better at those shots he's going to have his fair share of 1/8 or 2/8 games.
it's similar to why luka doncic keeps shooting so many 3s like that despite only hitting them at like a low-30% rate.

I’m just here to say Lebron should be suspended.

We were up 15 to start the 4th. Casey took out Cade & Bey for Lyles & Joseph and they let Russ and the Lakers get going before bringing Cade and Bey back up only 3. Despite this, they had a shot at the end. but Casey drew up an absolutely horrid out of timeout playcall.

The reaction was waaaaay over the top, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it. I could use a few more bad boys in my life.

Agreed. I'm glad he didn't do something to make things explode way worse... or to get a long suspension. That said, I would have loved to see him hit LeBron back right in the face but I know its not the best for him or the team.

All the Raptor fans talking **** about Cade in the GDT sure are quiet right now with Barnes being shut out at halftime.

Better balance?. We win tonight with Killian's D on Westbrook and on others.

I know your love for Killian, but the team was better balanced tonight. If Stewart stays in the game, we might win this one. What we lack is another big man and shooters, neither of which include killian.

If we lack big men and shooters, subtracting Killian helps neither. So that take doesn't make sense. Again, guys actually hit shots tonight.Liqourish wrote:Pistonrings wrote:Liqourish wrote:

Neither does adding him.

Diallo went 7-9 with 6 rebounds, 2 steals and a block and played solid defense. He had another play that should have been a block but was called a foul and Greg even mentioned it would likely win a review. Diallo for sure is making his mark out there after just a few days ago looking bad for refusing to enter a blowout game.

So when Killian was 3 boards short of a triple double while injured and on the road at Toronto, we would have been better off without him? He is obviously one of the best defenders on the team and is the best passer on the team. Thank goodness Weaver and Casey obviously think as I do about him.

Who said anything about Toronto? You said we win tonight with Killian. We lost due to lack of big bodies inside and shooting. Neither of which Killian brings to the table.

It's obvious Weaver told Casey to play him and I think that's a good thing too. Now at least we know Weaver will step in when he feels strongly about something and that gives me hope that even though we are most likely stuck with Casey through next season, that doesn't mean we are stuck with all his decisions and hopefully not his terrible offensive scheme.
