Chet is giving me a Evan Mobley vibe.

I still need to see Chet do well against bigger, longer and stronger opposition. His better games this season have been against teams lacking that.

Texas was the 1st test and he didn't do well. Will be looking closely against UCLA and Duke next week. Hopefully he shows up in those games.

Chet's body is obviously pretty weird, but he's really uniquely skilled for a guy that height and length.

Chet already has 16 assists in just 101 minutes played this year. Mo Bamba had 15 his entire college career, 30 games played.

Banchero has 6 in 136 minutes. Jabari Smith has 5. Jalen Duren has 4.

There's a level of basketball IQ and feel for the game that you can glean from bigs who are able to generate assists. A ton of young bigs get the ball and their only goal is to immediately put the ball in the basket.

We are looking at 27 wins this season + or - 5. Will we get a pick high enough?

Jaden Ivey looked really good in the tournament over the weekend. Purdue might make a deep run this season.

At 27 wins, this is a probably 5th worst team. At the low wend of 22 wins, this will probably be the 2nd worst team/ At the high end of 32 wins, that is anywhere from the 6th to 10th worst team.

I still view Orlando as finishing as the 5th worst team. Houston and Detroit look clearly worse than the Magic, and I would think two of these will be worse, not know which two: New Orleans, San Antonio, Sacramento, OKC, Minnesota, and Indiana.

My views are that Orlando will progressively i) get healthier and then ii) get better. And that is totally derailed if Suggs, Anthony, or F-Wagner goes down to a major injury.

We're on pace to win 19 games and the tough part of the schedule just started. We could easily lose 18 of the next 20.

The bottom three times all have the same odds of getting #1 or in the top 4. Right now we're at No. 3. If JI comes back and makes a difference, that probably gets us 2-3 extra wins. But the teams behind us are Detroit and New Orleans. Cade is just starting to get going and Zion will make a big difference. I'm going to be surprised if we're not one of three worst teams in the league. If SGA were to get hurt, OKC could easily slip into the bottom three, but for now we should feel pretty good about being in the bottom three. Even if we go on a run, we're still going to have about as good a chance as anybody at getting in the top two for the draft.

I watched the Texas game and Timme was scoring at will non stop. Chet didn't need to score and wasn't forcing it, but he still passed the eye test. He may need more time to grow into being an alpha than anticipated, but with the offensive development of Cole and another year from Franz and Suggs, I don't think we need Chet scoring 20 out of the gates. His skills are ridiculous and his IQ is really high. And he does have the ability in there to become an offensive force. That's just not his role on his current team.

His skills and IQ is what separates him from the others no doubt. And 1 game against Texas does not define him. I am just stating that he needs to show that he can handle tougher opposition and he will have his chance but if he consistently underperforms against better opposition, (which I do not think he will based on his skills), that will be a red flag for me.

I've been impressed by all 5 guys in the poll in the early run. Ivey from Purdue has been good too. Banchero is a way better off the dribble shooter than I expected. I think he's probably going to go #1, but the potential of Holmgren is going to keep him a top 2 pick all year. Smith has a smooth game. I have to watch more of Duren and Hardy, but I've liked the bits and pieces I've seen.

Rematch of last years Final Four between #1 Gonzaga and #2 UCLA. @10. Chet vs Juzang.

I'm a Chet skeptic but I'll be watching. I'm hoping he changes my mind and that Peyton Watson starts improving his draft stock. The stronger this draft is, the better.

He could end up with more blocks than the entire Zags team did last year. He is pretty nuts at blocking.

I'd pack Bamba's bags and drive him to the airport right now if you could promise me Chet right this moment. He's wonderful.

Yeah... Chet is doing to the #2 ncaa team what the Bucks did to us.

If Chet weighed more than the turd I dispose of everyday he would be the best draft prospect since LBJ.
