Why Mulder? Why not RJ get the starting spot?

Something is going on here.... From the lesser playing time, to this. Is RJ not doing something in practice?

Wow this is going to be interesting, hope Mulder goes well, we know he can shoot which is a welcome boost! Wish it was a better opponent to see Suggs PG with an outside shooting SG, but will take it!

I can only think RJ is seen as the backup PG in this scenario.

I would have thought Mulder is more of a PG than RJ....

Fair point, certainly does look like he's seen as a bench player for now, if he can't crack the starting 5 with this many injuries. He has been doing well off the bench though

Someone has to play backup PG and Hampton's literally the only option.

I know.. and we were talking about how Mulder looks to be "more" of a PG than RJ no?

Based on what exactly? Size?

Considering Mulder only has 35 career assists compared to 351 shot attempts in 999 career minutes, I'd say it's pretty clear he's a shooting guard only.

Hampton has 109 assists in 962 minutes with the Magic.

Yeah and that... wasn't he touted as supposedly Curry's backup/stand-in when Curry was semi-injured? And since Curry is a PG.....

I mean maybe he defended some point guards, but he wasn't a point guard.

He has no point guard skills.

I like that Mosley sees the need for a pure shooter in the lineup alongside Suggs and OnlyFranz as the playmakers. Mulder should be a nice fit for them if his shot is falling.

RJ gets a bit screwed by losing his best bench option. Hopefully Chuma turns it on today, or RJ steps up to pick up the slack. I can’t imagine RJ earned anything but good graces after leading that bench unit back into the game the other night.

For some reason I thought this game was tomorrow. Then I realized today is Monday.

I like starting Mulder. It lets Suggs play with a shoot-first option, and it's not unheard of to start a 3rd-stringer to keep the same role for a 2nd-stringer that they know and are comfortable with.

It's too bad we just gave the Bucks a little scare a couple days ago. I have a feeling they haven't forgotten, and they'll make sure to stomp us for good this time. Besides, we've run out of energetic 3rd-stringers to bring in at the end of the game!

Mulder could be interesting…he has big game potential - in the same way Ross does. He’s either hot or not. I like it for Suggs too. If Mulder gets off early, they’ll have to adjust…interesting

Love to see Mulder starting (I really like him) but I love to see Harris injured even more.
But how must RJ feel not starting when Cole and the tumor Harris aren't available?
It must be strange. He has done enough to start. Specially on last 4,5 games.

That’s ashame that Harris is injured. We really need him to take his time and get back to 150% before returning.
