not condoning stewart's behaviour but he didn't even TOUCH a player on the opposing team yet he got suspended longer than the guy who actually punched him in the face. it's almost like the league is saying, "punching someone in the face isn't cool but getting mad about being punched in the face REALLY isn't cool".

for those that are familiar with letterkenny i wouldn't be surprised if lebron came down with the "native flu" for their rematch this coming sunday.

Stewart was running over coaches and referees trying to get back to Lebron.

I would also be fine with both players getting a 4 game suspension, but this feels fair.

that's a fair resolution if people like it or not. It was LeBron's fault it started and he got his game, which is appropriate IMHO. Stewart could have walked away with no suspension but literally disrupted and potentially could have injured more people. LeBron was wrong... Stewart made the matter worse. You can't justify Stewart in saying his emotions just got away, or then you are saying LeBron's emotions getting away from him was also justified. Stewart needs the lesson though, if you are wronged you can't keep going back. Mind you this happened in Detroit too where the history makes the issue even bigger. Also if this was Obi Toppin and Wendel Carter Jr and it happened in Orlando likely none of us would know about it.

retaliation often gets punished more than the initial incident, whether it's right or wrong. but that system only works to deter people from retaliating if the initial incident is appropriately punished. that way, people that get sucker punched have faith that the league will bring them justice.

the league giving lebron ONE GAME for blatantly sucker punching someone and then suspending that person two games when they didn't even touch an opposing player (though he did fly off the handle and should get suspended) is nowhere near justice.

i bet stewart in this situation hasn't learned a single lesson other than next time someone sucker punches him, punch him right back because that's the closest thing to justice he'll get.
