So, without further ado:

1. LeBron James
2. Larry Bird
3. Kevin Durant
4. Julius Erving
5. Elgin Baylor
6. Scottie Pippen
7. John Havlicek
8. Kawhi Leonard
9. Rick Barry
10. Dominique Wilkins
11. James Worthy
12. Carmelo Anthony
13. Paul Pierce
14. Paul Arizin
15. Alex English
16. Bernard King
17. Adrian Dantley
18. Paul George
19. Jamaal Wilkes

Any thoughts?

Cheers & discuss.

If you're talking "peak prime" Grant Hill 100% deserves to be on that list. If you're talking about entire body of work, Grant Hill still comes close and even with the injuries he put up over 17K career points 6K rebounds and 4k assists... He's ahead of where Paul George is today in career totals so not sure why someone like Paul George is on the list over him.

I've got Paul Pierce over Carmelo but overall not a bad list

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Paul Pierce should be higher than where he's currently at. For example, I don't see the case for him being ranked lower than Carmelo Anthony, but I'm sure interested in your reasoning!

I'd move Bernard King up and 'Melo down a bit. King was among the very best in his prime. 'Melo is a great scorer, but I think his reputation is buoyed by having been surrounded by excellent role players in Denver and New York who masked how ball dominant he is.

Dr. J was an icon, but it's difficult to take too much away from KD or Bird.

Overall, not a bad list.

I assume they're considering George Gervin a SG?

I would also put Pierce a few spots up.

Pippen and Leonard shouldn't be above Hondo and Barry

Barry is always underrated. I'd put him above all three of those guys.

yes, but admittedly i am a larry bird honk.
using several criteria, bird checks more boxes than the other two. he only falters in athleticism and defense, but athleticism is at the bottom of the checklist anyway.

i am in agreement with the overlooked drJ. his legacy is immense. without him basketball returns to the dark ages

Think I'd still have DrJ just over KD. Agreeing on Pierce should be higher. But overall another pretty solid list.

Maybe this is semantics on my part, but I guess (for me) there is a difference between "I'd flip those two, and/or move that guy up 2 spots" and "I have a problem with that." I actually have it LeBron, Bird, Durant, Dr. J, but wouldn't scoff if they were shuffled a bit.

basketball is what it is. there's more goat nonsense and player/era comparisons than any other sport,,,prolly because a single player makes such a huge difference people get caught up in the individuality of it, and with individuality comes "my player is better than your player"

KD over Bird. PG over Pierce.
