The next 5 games
Seems like the next 5 games are the toughest stretch we've had so far and the toughest we'll have in a good while. They play Philly, Portland, at Clippers, at Phoenix and home vs Pho. What's your predictions for how they do?
I think if they go 3 and 2 I'd be very happy.
I also think a 5-0 is not out of the question, would put them at 20-2 and with 2 of those games on national tv, this could pretty much lock up Steph's 3rd mvp unless something dramatic like an injury happens. What do you guys think are the chances of 5-0?

Clippers and phx are the tough games. Expect us to split with phx. If batum is still out I can see us going 4-1.

I love that it's not unreasonable to talk about them going 5-0 and that not being crazy. 5-0 is possible, 4-1 is my guess.
No way Steph's MVP is locked up until the last week of the season.
If the Warriors didn't lose another game this year it wouldn't be locked until 60 games at least.

Re: The next 5 games
Big games for Steph, and when Steph is going all his teammates start feeling it, too.
I feel like Steph really wanted to show up for that Brooklyn game, then afterward played the following games a bit more casually. With these next couple games I bet he's excited to turn it up a notch again.
Realistically, they go 3-2 (losing @ LAC and splitting with Phoenix,) but I'm really hoping they go 5-0. And if they have to go 4-1 then I hope it's a split with PHX... maybe we lose the first one against them, then make adjustments and blow them out the following game.

Technically, you're right. I guess what I was trying to say is that the narrative would be cemented and in most voters' minds it would be Steph's award to lose the rest of the way. Right now he's the fruntrunner, but people still talk about KD and now CP3 is emerging. If they go 5-0 against tough competition and start the season 20-2, it's a 90% win rate, that's something that will stay in people's minds the rest of the way.

Expect 40 piece on his brother after that 12 game from the Chef. My guess is 4-1, and I think the Suns games will be wins because Warriors want to make a statement. Expecting a more locked-in Steph & Dray there.
My guess is they lose to the Clippers.

Sixers- Comfortable win
Portland- Blowout win
Clippers- Close gritty win
Suns- Close L
Suns- Comfortable win.
To be honest I think they will beat the suns both times but I'll be a little conservative. Curry is going to light his brother up tomorrow after having an off night against toronto.

Seth Curry didn't play their last game, don't know if he's going to play against the Warriors. Green is out, Embiid I think is out, Harris is day to day.

According to Philly news this morning, Embiid is still in Philadelphia, but is out quarantine and practicing today. He could fly to SF for the game tomorrow.

Re: The next 5 games
I don't care much about the 76ers or Blazers game. It is not an indicator how we will fare against playoff level teams.
Tough 3 games against the clippers and suns.
Hope we can go 2-1 for those 3 games, which also means we have at least 1 win in 2 tries against the Suns.
If we are 1-2 in those 3 or go 0-2 against the Suns, this board will go into panic mode.

3-2 is reasonable. I give 4-1 a 30% chance.
If they sweep it and go 5-0 then there is no question that they have returned as the dynastic team.

4-1, but 5-0 if they lock in and 3-2 if they come out lazy in either the Philadelphia or Portland games. With the way they are going right now it's hard to see them losing more than two of those.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

3 and 2 is the most likely outcome. I have not looked at the schedule. With a lot of rest between games I would change my predicion to 4 and 1.

Re: The next 5 games
It's the next sixty-five games I'm really focused on. I'd love Steph to win an MVP, but I'd much rather see them win about fifty-five or even sixty of those, however that happens. Short term -- who knows? Wouldn't have expected the Griz to beat them at home for their first loss. Wouldn't have expected them to b*tch-slap Atlanta and Brooklyn so easily on the road, either.

Re: The next 5 games
Five games or whatever, the important thing is to pile up wins while the sun shines. They're pretty much all healthy and rolling, but in a long season you know there will be down times. Injuries, Covid protocols, slumps, there are bound to be poor stretches. The more wins they can amass while things are good, the better it will look at the end of the season. If they can just not give away games they should win they'll be fine.
