But but stats, throwing RJ into this to throw off the fact Randle is not a good player. If he not hoggin technical free throws or stealing rebounds, he’s willing to get a back court violation thinking he would get fouled. Not passing to better free throw shooters that’s wide open. Even if he is fouled, count him to miss 1 or both in the clutch, easy money.

That's the point, they can't when Randle plays, this has happened over and over again and the on/off ratings are getting to ridiculous levels on the season too. We have a 119.7 ORTG when Obi is on the court and 105.8 when he's off.

It's pretty simple to understand what's happening, when Obi is in the game the guards handle the ball more, and he hustles on defense.

What makes Obi fun to watch is that he's a constant threat because he moves well without the ball. And what I like is he's a pretty good finisher around the basket. His defensive assignment always has to pay attention to him and this leads to collapses and that leads to good opportunities for us.

Randle has ballhandlers so he doesn't have to bring the ball up each time and spend so much energy. Even at the end of the game, he could have passed the ball against the Laker pressure - even when the game was out of reach for them, but he didn't.

Still his fault. He takes the blame. Randle didn’t perform in playoffs and we didn’t let him play out his contract. I probably would of done the same, it was a feel good season. However this is a business And you don’t make decisions off of emotions.

Didn’t get to watch the first 3 qtrs but it’s nice to see at least by the stats that RJ wasn’t a negative offensively finally. Quick got the shooters bounce on some big shots and Obi made some bigs shots and good plays.

Hopefully the starters are close to getting their heads out of their asses as a unit

People say Randle is not a superstar yet they are not satisfied with 20/15/5 so which is it do you expect superstar numbers or do you want to just bash him for being a good player asked to play like a superstar.

You're right. The difference between Lebron and Randle is that Lebron has a high bball IQ.

Randle is a workhorse and has the skills to be a superstar. He would be successful like Lebron if he played smart. Then again, we would've never gotten him if he was a smart player.

Can't hate on Julius I guess. I just don't see us having any playoff success if he was our best player. Because you gotta play smart in the playoffs. And hard work can only get you so far.

Cmon, the difference between LeBron and Randle is light years. Randle is a hard worker but you can’t compare them. IMO, The Knicks need someone who can really run the offense and until they do, they will default to Randle as point forward. Randle doesn’t have the handle like the true great point forwards - it is what it is. And when we get that guy it’s on Thibs to have his guard run the offense, get ball movement and occasionally go to Randle to run plays.

Life is all about perspective.

It's hard to enjoy wins when each game makes you feel you're dealing with hypertension. I just want the team to play the basketball we played in the preseason when the ball movement was beautiful to watch.

I get it. The reason why it's frustrating is because we actually get to see it still during the game...then it goes away.

Anybody else laughed when Reggie Miller got nervous for us when Randle got his 5th? I was like naaa, we good. And when I saw Obi come in, I knew somebody on the floor was gonna light up...and Quick did. YOu think he gets those shots with Mr. I Got This on the floor?

And sure enough.....like clockwork, he went out, team played better, came back in, palms got sweaty.
