The Heat outscored Detroit 33-16 in the 4th and there were only 3 Heat FGs that Lowry did not score or assist on

Reminds me of a game that Lowry had outscored the entire Hawks team in the 4th quarter:

Jonas Valančiūnas was one of my favourite all-time Raptors, was sad to see him go, but I was happy to see him thrive in Memphis and now New Orleans. I noticed that he is currently leading the league in 3 point percentage, which is shocking to me, if he keeps it up he might be the founder of the 50/50/85 club. I just don't understand how his three point percentage (53%) is the highest of his career, yet his field goal percentage is the lowest of his career (50%). Can anyone explain that? Too many jumpers? Does anyone think he'll still be leading the lead in 3P% at seasons end?

He's obviously improved his shot, but he'll regress. He's shooting 2.2 per game, which translates to 43 total so far.

I think part of his efficiency is that he only shoots very specific 3s - basically from 2 locations and on catch-and-shoots. I don't have access to deeper levels of data, but I'm guessing they're also largely uncontested because nobody's ever had to worry about guarding JV out there prior to this season (i.e. no adjustments... yet).

Still love JV, would be great to have him back.

Reminds me of the Brook Lopez transformation.

He has a chance to make the west allstar team...

I dont know about all star but what i know is that Pels don't have talent, they wont make the playoffs with such performance for sure. What i noticed is that JV is slower, heavier then when he played for raptors. Teams often attack himon offence, he can't defend faster players when they switch on him. In most games he has negative +-... But i mean he's a good tank comander, bright spot on that team, it's very hard to watch that team, they have some muscle but decisions are on high school level  It's nice to see that he's evolving his game and will be able to keep his place in nba for some time i think Pels won the trade with Adams

Pels are actually better with him on the floor vs him off the floor, please check your facts before posting. Not a tank commander, like at all.

His FG% is down mainly because absolutely nobody on that team can create anything or hit any shots. Just take a look at that roster, their main go-to guys, besides JV and Ingram, have been Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Devonte Graham, Josh Hart, Herbert Jones, Garett Temple, Tomas Satoransky and so on. I mean, come on. So, he is double teamed a lot and not getting any easy opportunities. 3pt or long 2s are just about the only shots where he is at least semi, or wide open. Also, opening game of the season was a 3/19 stinker and it stills brings down his overall % for the season by about 2 percentage points, which is a lot.

Sam Dekker has signed to a club in Turkey. Too bad, he seemed like a great guy and he and his wife were so happy to have an NBA shot. I still wish he could have had a shot to play here, to see if his shooting in preseason could translate to regular season. So much bigger and better than Matt Thomas yet we gave Matt such a longer look, and he's still in Chicago.

Meanwhile we have McBonga and his 1 pt in last 25 minutes. Can't we have 1 offensive bench guy?
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

That's what I said when Sam was released - if we talk about Pascal, Barnes and OG being redundant, then Bonga is really redundant on this roster. Why not just one 3 point specialist. Not to mention one who's 6'8 and can dunk too.

Im kinda loving the situation with the Lakers passing on Demar this summer & Demar having a superstar kind of year. I feel its a bit revenge for Demar with Lebron having our number before & now they're tripping over themselves & realizing their mishap in choosing Westbrook over Demar. Hoping Demar gets in that allstar game and I think he's making himself a case for the HOF

DD was such a calming presence for the Bulls in the fourth against the Nets. Great closing game by him.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

Poor Demar is in covid protocol now.

Bembry and James Johnson playing key roles for Nets lately incl last night. Bembry was guarding Luka when I watched, not that anyone except maybe Kawhi can handle the guy.

Terence Davis figuring it out again and looking like a good rotation player, definitely would've helped the bench massively this year.

I hope they dumped him on some knowledge that none of us know regarding his incident. If not, just dumping him was stupid.
