Brewers/Cardinals Series Thread

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Mon Sep 24, 2007 11:34 pm

No need to do separate game threads unless this race tightens up again.
Let's go Cardinals. :o
I am rooting for the Cardinals not to get swept.
Taking 1 out of 3 would be nice.

Tonight it is Wainwright vs Bush. I like the Cardinals chances in this game but then I looked at their lineup:
Eck 6
Ankiel 8
Taguchi 7
Ludwick 9
Cairo 5
Miles 4
Bennett 2
Wainwright 1
Ryan 6

Thanks for helping us out LaLoser.

Fielder's homer was a meatball down the middle according to gameday.

It's not over till the fat lady sings.
Does Fielder have a good singing voice?

Now with the stupid humor gone, we still must win as much as possible here on out. Every game matters. Better be watching game tape of Willis right now Cubs.

Cardinals are not going to help us out.
As I said before, if the Brewers wouldn't have blown their games out Saturday and Sunday we wouldn't have a chance at the playoffs.

Whatever.
Cubs just need 4 wins and they are in the playoffs.
Can't worry about the Sewers.

Fans in Milwaukee were just chanting "Cubbies Suck".
I find that ironic

I don't understand where this Milwaukee/Cubs rivalry came from. I hate the Cardinals and White Sox much more than the Brewers.

it comes from the bitterness of brewers fans when the cubs fans invade milwaukee...

well from me being in kenosha there is cubs and brewers fans split. so there is a rivaly here. i dont know about milwaukee. maybe because of the payrolls diffrence.

I know in Milwaukee they hate us. Probably because we invaded Miller Park from 2003 to 2006 when you guys were bad. I was one of those people that went to Milwaukee every summer to watch the Cubs and Brewers but this year all the games in Milwaukee were done before June.
Here in Chicago we hate the Cardinals and White Sox. This is the first time I have ever had to root against the Brewers. Maybe if the Cubs and Brewers stay good for a few more years a bigger rivalry can establish. That is what Bud Selig wanted when he moved the Brewers to the NL Central.

Agreed, I certainly wouldn't be paying attention to the Brewers if they weren't in playoff contention with the Cubs. Even still, I still don't care about them that much...or so much so to the point that I feel vindictive like some of the posters around these boards. ;)
