Is this the point of the season where Lebron stans unwittingly abandon the whole "he makes everyone around him better" narrative without blinking twice?
Best time of the season.
Best time of the season.

LesGrossman wrote:First of all this means nothing regarding the championship race. But in a nutshell, discussing the early disappointing results, almost all of the named reasons fall back on LeBron.
1. He is old and plays no defense but insists to be "the man" and play heavy minutes. You cant compensate 4-5 when it happens so much.
2. Whatever negativity his stans bring up towards his all star team mates, namely AD, Russ and Melo, to prop him up, must ultimately also fall on him because this roster is EXACTLY what he wanted it to be. Same applies to the coach. He is known to have HC removed and his hand puppets installed, so please dont blame anyone else.
3. Injuries (of LeBron) - see above. Old guys tend to be more injured.
4. LeBron heavy offense - as has been the case in previous teams, LeBron refuses to play off the ball. The whole offensive system is constructed on the premise that he dominates to ball 20 seconds. What happens if you remove him? The offense crumbles and fails. Whose fauilt is it? Bron fanboys like to bring up how unsuccessful his teams are in his absence, as if this was a computer game and not a complex team with a thick playbook on offense and defense. If Bron wouldnt insist to be PG on offense and invisible on defense, this wouldnt happen. The way it is, those guys play by ear when he isnt there. Also his fault.
Just as a thought: If they would be 16-3 by now, whom would we praise? Westbrook? AD? Pelinka? History has shown that Bron, his beat writers, stans and other influencers tend to take all credit for success and turn invisible when things go downhill.
This post is all truth all day

Blame his offcourt GMing but in a thread labelled "why are the Lakers 9-10?" you'd have to be lacking in reason to attribute it to the on-court play of the guy they are 6-3 with. Some of these guys have the same reply ready to go in every thread no matter where it's applicable. Lebron is still a baller.

I'm curious for the people that always blame everything that goes bad on LeGM - do you guys also talk about LeGM when his teams win? If LeGM is a real thing than you would have to admit LeBron is one of the greatest GM's of all time on top of being a GOAT player lol.
For instance, people act like its a negative that Bron got Blatt fired, when really it led to a ring the next year and teams weren't exactly lining up to pick him up as coach.

Re: Lakers are 9-10. Who's to blame?
Pelinka watched that AD -less series vs Phoenix and decided hmmm we need more offense! When in reality we would have been much much better off retaining our perimeter defenders and adding value in FA via the MLE . He severely underrated how valuable it was having guys that can chase around other teams best players for 48min while LBJ and AD take plays off. Now they literally have no margain for error game to game because we are bleeding points in the paint by early 3rd qrtr. Dealing Kuzma/1st straight up for something was my preffered play.

Basketball operations. Almost half of the game LA's playing with Westbrook and Melo on the court same time. Put best SG,PF and C alongside the two, the team wouldn't win 50 games. And also rotation is terrible. One of the worst rotations in the NBA. Horton, Bradley(some) and that's it, there's no well-rounded impactful players alongside AD-Lebron. This team reminds me 2013 LA.

“The idea is not to block every shot. The idea is to make your opponent believe that you might block every shot.”

Jeannie should be on the list too. She's not an owner the same way most of these hands off guys are. She's very involved and ultimately LeBron is her employee, so is he's getting ideas above his station and playing at GM then that's on her for allowing it.

I don't know who is to blame.
But LeBron playing 50 minutes to lose a game to the Kings in November is not a good sign

Lebron is now a jumpshooter, and his game (and the teams) lives and dies on whether his shot is on.
He's at that stage of his career, and its not a good thing. He plays like post-prime Kobe used to.

Why would Philadelphia want to close off the paint for Embiid. Because its been doing great for LAL?

Father Time catching up to him is obvious enough, but it could also be possible that he's taking more jumpshots now because he wants to be a floor-spacer, given how Westbrick is such a non-shooter.

Lebron is now a Kareem chaser. He wants as many points possible without risking injury. That means he is shooting a lot of threes and that means he doesnt run unless its a fastbreak.

Given their roster construction and health issues, they are where they should be.
As long as they can get into the playoff with a healthy roster, no team would want to face them.

they really miss Kuzma
