I was ok with the other positions.
But in here ... Stockton 7th?
The guy with the most steals and the most assists in history?
Almost ok with the other selections but this with Stockton doesn't sit well with me.
Messi. Jordan. Ali. Bolt. Senna. Serena. Karelin. Phelps. Rossi. Suleymanoglou. The GOATs.

i'd put stockton and kidd ahead of cp3. oscar goes lower just because i never saw him play.

and remove kyrie altogether. he should've been on the SG listing, other than being short kyrie has no interest in being any kind of pg. i would've been ok with steph being treated the same, but kyrie is just worse in that regard. west i think at least played some pg although he should be sg as well as many have noted.

i don't know if tony parker is better than kevin johnson. or even dame. i think westbrook deserves to have whole lot of points taken away for being so dumb, so towards the bottom of the list if not out of it altogether.
screw these absolute garbage refs

Better than I thought it would be given the source. Frazier is the one massive wtf. Way too low. I'd take him over Westbrook, Kidd, Payton, Lillard, and Cousy. I'd bump IT down a few spots too. Nothing against him, just the competition in that range is very tough. I would have left Parker out. I get the ranking based on his career achievements, but there are definitely more than 16 PGs I'd take over him. Steph should be in the two spot. Also, if Kyrie is going to show up on these lists, then Harden should as well. Harden is more of a point guard than Kyrie has ever been.

I'd rather see Gus Williams on the list than many of the players selected.

Curry should be 2nd and Nash should be top 5.

He’s probably not a no-brainer at number 2, but yes, he was really that good.

I personally have Nash over Paul, Isiah, and Stock. Probably an unpopular take.

And yeah, I have Isiah down a few spots.

What advanced statistic measures winning rings?

The problem is the list completely changes if it's about measuring rings. You have to put Frazier, Billups, ParKer, Kyrie on the list and take off the players without rings.

Wtf is with the insane reassment of Jerry west that's lead to him being an all time top 10 player in the last few years.

plus longevity -- 19 seasons to 14 seasons.

Stockton was primarily a bench player his first three seasons, so for an All-Time ranking, those seasons aren't really giving a player a boost.

I do think Isiah tends to get overrated among PG's though, but there's always going to be some level of winning bias.

I like Chris Paul as much as the next guy, but he's getting overrated at this point. There's no way he's greater than John Stockton, who is all-time in assists and steals. Steve Nash was a two-time MVP who really led the game into the space-and-pace era.

I'd put Chris Paul next to Jason Kidd on the list. I think that's plenty of an honor for him.

Did he beat them by himself?

Nope. It's a team game, but he was their leader and best player.

Jordan didn't win spit without Phil Jackson, Pippen's ascension, and Grant/Rodman, Magic without Worthy, Kareem, and Scott/Cooper, and Bird without McHale, DJ, Parish, and Ainge. Your point is weak.

Detroit wouldn't have given one thought to trading Thomas for Stockton though (if offered).

No denying that Utah on the other hand needed Thomas' moxy and scoring to win some playoff series' that they lost.

They would've at the very least considered a Stockton for Thomas trade (if offered).

Stats be damned.

Stockton easily beats Thomas in stats and longevity, if that's all that you consider, but Thomas was the better leader, possessing more winning intangibles. Thomas' ability to take over games in the playoffs that led to winning rings separates the two.

Thomas on the Jazz wins more in the playoffs. Detroit with Stockton don't win rings. Both teams needed their PG to assist and take over games, and Thomas did the latter so much better than Stockton.

Isiah Thomas was never going to beat the Bulls teams of the late 90s. That Bulls team with Jordan/Pippen/Kukoc/Rodman may be the best team ever assembled. That just isn't an apt comparison.

 How many PGs have a FMVP, multiple titles, multiple all NBA teams, multiple all star game appearances and top five mvp finishes again? Yeah definitely not 16 of them.
