The Raptors Show with Will Lou

Rumours were that part of Masai re-signing was that he requested more Raptors dedicated content. The show has been on for a few months now so what are your thoughts on having a real dedicated show to the Raptors?

Personally, I absolutely love the show especially when they stick to talking basketball. I've not been a fan of when they start interviewing their guests about their past, which I could care less about. It's just so awesome to get their perspectives and I like how they keep it real when a player does well or not.

Edit - Seems like some don't know about the show so it airs Monday to Friday from 2-3PM on Fan590. Then Will Lou has post game shows on Fan590 mostly but all content gets updated quickly on his podcasts.

If you're referring to his podcast, yeah I love it. It's so good. Looking forward to the day when Mr. Lou has is featured on Raptors Today with Sherm and Jonesy.

Really wish Asad Alvi and Arais Farah had their own podcasts, they seem like the only really decent contributors left at Yahoo Sports Canada.

I was listening to it daily early on but it got kind of stale. The regular guests like Faizal/Danielle etc aren't that entertaining.

Alex is hilarious and needs more airtime. He should be the host and let Will work off him.

2-3 M-F on the fan590 or via podcast a few minutes after it finishes airing.

love the show because i love the banter between will and alex.

not as big a fan of the post-game shows where will reacts to the game, more as a fan and less as an analyst. i think he let's his emotions get to him.

alex is definitely the best part of the show.

i don't even need the guests like faizal or danielle. blake once a week is fine, when alex is off.

25 minutes of raps talk with 15 minutes of alex and will just bantering is perfect.

Totally agree with this take. Love Alex as he provides funny banter.

I was so annoyed by their random guests that didn't bring much to the table. Then they'd make it worse by interviewing them like the average person gave a crap about them lol.

Yeah I enjoy the show. I've listened to Will Lou since he was podcasting on Raptors Republic.

I agree that sometimes the guests are kind of meh, but they are putting out episodes regularly so got to create content somehow.

Alex is hilarious, but I think it makes sense that Will is driving it. He generally provides more insightful basketball comments/takes than Alex, and have put in the work over the years. Nonetheless, It's a good tandem.

As for the post game reactions, I actually enjoy them even though sometimes Will is pretty ragey lol. I like the passion and honesty over any corporate BS praises all the time.

My only criticism on his takes so far is he's a total Fred stan. I'm not a Fred hater and think he's been the best player on the team so far, but listening on the pod you would think Fred can do no wrong.

i like them and i listen to them everyday.

they like sometimes put on a really professional raptors related show then it goes into random talk that sounds like an amateur podcast instead.

i'm not sure where they will eventually land but it's like we hear mike breen + jvg at times and then it becomes matt and jack singing.

with that said - the postgames are really great.

It's a new show so although i don't care for the random guests either, I'm sure the producers will adjust. They are just trying stuff

I've listened to it regularly and it's good. Will and Alex have good chemistry. Both are passionate and they actually watch the games. The best episodes are with Blake Murphy when they really break things down.

I like that it sounds more podcast-ish instead of your typical structured hot-take radio.

His podcast is fine, he's good whenever Blake Murphy is with him. When he's with Alex it's more chill funny banter. I like Samson Folk's podcast the most for game analysis.

I can only catch the uploaded podcasts but I've enjoyed them so far. I was late to the whole podcast thing but grateful to have more dedicated Raptors content.

Alex is an elite talent. Will is just awesome period. I have no complaints outside of the boring guests.

Because of Will and Alex...I've been showing up at Ramen Isshin on College more often just to see if I can catch Yuta. My sodium levels are through the roof right now.
