I wrote an article about an online poker room accepting Bitcoin many years ago. Did some research, thought it sounded interesting, and thought about investing maybe $1,000 in Bitcoin when it was around 10 cents. My wife forbade me, as I had previously lost money on an online poker stock and she figured this was the same. I didn't think much of it and never invested. Of course, if I did invest, I could be flying to space with Bezos or something right now.

Someone did make me feel better about it, though. He reminded me that there was no way I would've held long enough for Bitcoin to get up to like $60,000. There's a good chance I would've sold at $1 or lower, as the return would've been massive. Now, I might've sold enough to get back my initial investment and just let the rest ride, but I did feel better when he assured me that I probably would've sold long before the price went crazy.

I've just finally started getting into crypto and stocks, building up a small portfolio currently. More for a bit of fun and obviously hoping it's a decent investment for the future, but not expecting to get rich out of it or anything.

Does anyone have any cryptos or stocks they like and think could go well over the next few years that would be worth investing in? I have some friends who love their crypto and given me some pointers and i've got currently got a little ETH, HBAR, XRP and then SHIB and DOGE for a bit of fun. Any others I should look at or stocks to watch?

Thanks!

It's pretty much a guessing game with crypto. Strictly gambling for me. I own some XRP, MATIC, ANKR and LINK. Can't trade XRP in the US right now (I bought mine about 4 years ago). As soon as that's resolved (I assume there will be a settlement at some point) XRP should be trading again and I expect it to have a nice bump

Guys, the cryptoverse is about to explode. No regerts here.

My Mana (decentraland) is nuts. I took profit (entry point plus some for me) so the rest is free money. That free money is $12k and climbing. My other bags are mostly doing well. Only three of the 16 coins are down.

Many influencers are thinking that this holiday season is where many more folks adopt into the investment opportunity. Lots of portfolio sharing and informative education will inspire an inordinate amount of new money.

I'm still a bit skeptical, but take profit here and there. I'll have my initial investment covered soon. I still buy dips on good projects. It's savory good.
I needs shades for this future thing we owning..... 8-) 8-) 8-)

ANKR up about 48% the last 24 hours. No idea why but I cashed a little out and I'll hold on to the rest. Of course my oth crypto is all down about 10% the last day

Most crypto down about 20%. Crazy. Although I vowed I was done buying, I bought some more CHAIN and ANKR.

Yeah has been interesting to follow the last week. I'm down about 25% or so as I invested most of my $ just before this dip haha (of course). Will be a long term watch anyway so keen to see how big this dip goes or if it is already starting to recover etc.

I don't know if I'm good at alt-coin picking but I do know I'm about to buy a Mclaren off my alt-coin picking lol.

Whew, what a difference a few weeks make, amirite? That FCEL investment is looking not great right now lol. I'll just hold it and everything else until they go to zero, though. Screw it. Someone said never invest money you can't afford to lose and that's how I get down.

As I was riding FCEL up I mentioned it to my brother, he decided to jump in at $25 for a hefty sum. I feel horrible for him as I got out.

Hope everyone else is doing alright with the recent crypto crash. Last few months have been brutal and I'm past the point of "buying the dip"

I bought FCEL at ~$6.40, thought about selling at least some when it went over $10 but didn't.

FCEL is too risky for me but I have been buying this week in other stocks. It turns out I bought too soon, but I am hopeful.
